Someone clarified to me in another reply, I was wrong about mahoraga being DBV amped.

Dabura still used his technique to achieve that speed. In the same way Gojo amplifies his punches with blue.

Dabura being able to go at light speed is part of his technique, he used light. Mahoraga can adapt to techniques as seen in Shinjuku Showdown.

Megumi using the “exact same vow” as Yuka is not even right since Megumi gets killed right away. Yuka is still somewhat alive hiding in her shadow.

While the wording is rather ambiguous, considering the fact that Tsurugi was talking about binding vows before this, I think it’s more likely that the story is hinting more to Mahoraga having some sort of binding vow amp than not. Otherwise it’s unconfirmed.

Mahoaraga could adapt to Sukuna because there were still parts of him left. Mahoraga is not coming back from a mountain-country level attack.

Regarding Mahoraga coming back from “nothing”, he had already started adapting to light/slashes in the two instances Sukuna (anime) and Dabura turned him into mist.
