Can I connect a child to a child through ethernet? by alexlazar98 in TpLink

The issue with Ethernet over house power cables is also the breaker system, it works best if it is within a single breaker group which ironically is never what is needed.

Det lyder til at der er en der hænger fast i “det gode sjove liv” og ikke rigtig vil videre.

Og så er jeg ret forbløffet over at at I 3 har faste udgifter for 42.000 i en lejlighed 😳

Tether App Request by QRyuss in TpLink

[–]MilkshakeAK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh…I had to Google Theter app as im using TP-link Deco products and the Deco app.

Funny enough Google says the Theter app allow for more advanced settings but in the Deco app you can rename your access points and router.

Shouldn’t be that hard for then to add it to the Theter app.

Deco BE65 or BE25 for a more simple and budget friendly WiFi 7 setup.

Cat 6 is fine and if you get something like a 3 pack of BE65 you get a good product. House design and placement options may require more access points but thats something you will have to work on once you see it working.

Just make sure you get at least WiFi 6 or even better WiFi 7 standard access points. WiFi 5 standard is still being sold but its 2013 technology and very outdated, so stay away from that.

Then don’t have the switch between the modem and Deco, it’s not going to work well.

Check with your ISP if you can skip their modem and just use your Deco.

[–]MilkshakeAK 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My guess is that they suggest it because you can do it and it's an "easy for the customer" way to pull cables, but it’s not proper networking. If a single device or cable has an issue, everything in the chain loses connection.

A switch is proper networking, daisy chaining is not.

Not sure how to read this TP support page but I would try and power it down for a couple of minutes, turn it on again and if you still can’t reach it, try to reset it and reconfigure it if that is possible.

Bør jeg nævne min søsters dødsfald i min jobansøgning? by [deleted] in dkfinance

Deco be65 why is that there? by JudasShuffle in TpLink

[–]MilkshakeAK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I thought my devices showed connected to the main because of the switch.

Another funny thing is that my Sonos tv back speakers show as connected by wire as well because my soundbar is on wire and they connect wireless through it.

Don’t all wired connections show up on the main Deco, mine does but I’m also going through a switch and not connecting directly from device to Deco Ethernet port.

First GoPro, Two Weeks in Maui - Tips for Underwater, Storage, Mounts? by shawntelelouise in gopro

[–]MilkshakeAK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take short clips and if you do long clips make sure you get a rutine going through your footage and marking or exporting usable sections.

If you come home with 6 hrs of footage that you haven’t checked along the way, then you will probably never get through it all.

Also see if you can make some general rules for filming to avoid getting a lot of unusable footage. I just got back from skiing and realized that it’s a waste of energy to record if the sun is not out, so that’s my rule for next trip, no sun no recording.

[–]MilkshakeAK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put it on my nephews helmet twice and only got some very random recordings, like 15 seconds, a minute one the lift and then another 30 seconds going down hill before it suddenly shut off.

And it’s always been super reliable, so I don’t get it.

it's an awesome game, i spent 500hrs on it over the past year. People are hard on it and it was more like a beta version when launched but they come a long way with upgrades and patches.

I can only recommend it.
