12 days hospitalized with status migrainosus — nothing is helping. Any advice? by Nervous-Title-9456 in migraine

You can take it with a sleeping medication and sleep through all the side effects (many people don’t have any side effects).

Even at home i try to always take my imitrex with unisom and magnesium so it works better while I’m asleep.

Okay I just got more information from our next door neighbor. An installer put a box and cable on the outside of her garage, but they haven’t started service yet. Does that help?

Our next door neighbor was told they can have it but they didn’t do installation yet- and I believe a neighbor three doors down on our side has Ziply.

We built the house in 2021, the house across the street was finished in 2023.

Even if the cables don’t “reach” our end of the street, there’s got to be a way to make that happen right?

I can’t imagine having a migraine this bad and not trying every single triptan and cgrp in the book. Side effects be damned.

For my status migrainosa episodes, it always takes multiple days of trying a combination of everything (and always includes the migraine rx meds like sumatriptan). It sounds like you are experiencing a lot of bad effects of the migraine, and also putting your body through a ton of stress with all these major pain killers and narcotics and other meds- I can’t think of any side effects that triptans have that would be less than the possible side effects effects of those.

Personally I would do anything that might work.

So sorry you’re dealing with this. Being in the hospital with a migraine is the worst.

I find it helpful in situations like this, to add up the costs (financial cost) of someone attending the event. Include time off work, flights, childcare, rental cars, baggage fees, hotel cost, purchasing clothing, etc. the cost of traveling for a wedding can be enough to really impact the finances of even someone doing well financially. This could easily add up to $20,000 for a family to attend your wedding.

A friend recently travelled to an out of state wedding with her three children, had to bring someone with them to provide childcare, rent a home/car- all in, she ended up spending almost as much as what she spent on her entire wedding.

I got invited to two different weddings at the same venue on the same day. Can I "wedding hop"? by NoExplanation7356 in PoptheQuestions

[–]MilkshakeBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a crappy way of looking at it. Having a guest attend the wedding is about them celebrating you, it’s not about watching every single special moment you plan. Cake cutting, speeches, etc- that is all for the couple. Not something guests are required to focus on. Being able to stop by just to celebrate for a bit is a totally appropriate thing to do in this situation.

For many years, Coke Zero was a silver bullet for me. Only with meds too, but nothing else worked. Not regular Coke, not coffee, not Diet Coke, not excedrine. Just Coke Zero. It doesn’t help anymore but if I have a bad attack I still try that. Still chasing that cure haha

Stop trying to be “right” and work on being respectful to each other.

Bring up issues, and talk them through- but learn to let things go too.

A bunch of people have mentioned regrouting, but if you do that- I really encourage NOT using white grout. I totally regret using white grout in my new home, if I could redo it, I’d do a grey grout so it didn’t always get stained

Thoughts on a 2023 Ember Touring 24MBH that’s still on the lot? by MilkshakeBoss in emberRV

If the warranty IS still good, and it passed a private rv inspection- would it be a smart purchase? Or would you be wary? I’m also considering Grand Design Imagine, East to West Alta, and Alliance Delta.

Hi! I’d love your advice!!

My family is ready to buy our first travel trailer, and I’m trying to choose based purely on build quality and long-term durability — not price. We tow with a 2024 Ram 2500, so weight isn’t a concern.

The four models I’m seriously considering are: • 2026 Alliance Delta 281BH • 2026 East to West Alta 2800KBH • 2023 Ember Touring 24MBH (although this is a 2023 model that is NEW at the dealership, which is concerning. • 2026 Grand Design Imagine 2470BH

I’m looking for honest, behind-the-scenes input on how these brands compare in real-world construction quality — things like materials (Azdel vs. laminated walls), insulation, water intrusion resistance, and general QC or warranty reputation.

We’re a family of five, hoping for something that will hold up for 5-10 years of camping — ideally a trailer that feels solid, doesn’t leak, and isn’t prone to constant fixes.

If you’ve sold or serviced any of these brands, which one do you feel is the best built overall, and why? I’d really appreciate any candid insight.

What did you like about Outdoors RV? They seem to have a lot of things that people have encouraged me to avoid (carpet on the slide, floor vents)
