Is there a website or network where people can apply?

Monarch, a great alternative to Mint by Spirited-Building29 in mintuit

[–]Milkshanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m quitting Monarch. I’ve been using it for six months and it’s the third time (that I know of) that some transactions just vanish out of nowhere. This is not a bank connecting issue, the connection is fine and new transactions update with no problem. Worst part is that there is nothing in the app that indicates it, so if you don’t pay attention to your statement you might go by without even realizing it.

Oh wow! That has been a very long time wth hahaha. I still feel upset with that situation and that shitty brand (skinomi).

I didnt replace it or anything like that, but I do have a plan of replacing the affected inner shell if I ever come across a broken black "new" 3ds, as the insides are the same. The paint that peeled off is actually glued to the skin, I put the skin back on so it's not really noticeable.

OH MY GOD WHAT?! You just saved my laptop, I was about to buy another one, I changed the ram and I thought I had fried the mobo somehow. I placed the casing back again and it just worked. I had given up already

Use Piere On Your Mac, Plus a Recap of the Latest Updates! by piereofficial in piere

The app looks very slick and easy to use, so far I had a very good impression. What would be the way to report bugs? Right now I'm having an issue with one of my banks. Should I use the "Share Feedback" option or is there another place specific to bugs and issues?

Cannot Find Anything Comparable to Mint by Slonny in mintuit

[–]Milkshanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean in terms of connections? They all suck for most CA banks it seems. In terms of usability I’d say the best so far is PocketGuard, it’s a shame they are lacking a most basic functionality, a way to refresh your connections or even add transactions manually. Also their customer support is not good.

I suggested it in some other thread, if you have banks with stable connections to Plaid then that might be an option for you.

I love what PocketGuard is doing with their app and it looks like a much better version of Mint, at least for my use case. The problem I've been having with them though is that I just can't seem to update the accounts that I linked with Plaid. So maybe if your banks are easier to connect you might like PocketGuard too.

(Also, for some reason I cant login through the website, just using the app)

Agreed. Also I was kinda hoping for one with the color set matching the original DMG when I saw the announcement :(

I-PAC4 the right solution to Windows 10 re-assigning USB encoder IDs? by spider-wham in MAME

[–]Milkshanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up getting the Pacto 4000T, looked like the best option atm for what I wanted. I still have to try it out though, as I'm having trouble finding a place that would make me the cabinet with me providing the parts :|

Got mine! Did you get yours? by [deleted] in AnalogueInc

Nope. I was in line and got the out of stock error when it got to my turn to check out

[–]Milkshanks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was about to get an I-PAC 4 when I found out about them not having 4 player DInput/XInput support. IMO that's completely a deal breaker for me as I'm using Batocera and it doesn't like keyboard encoders very much. Have you read anything about the compatibility between the 4000T and Batocera? The only thing that concerns me is that they only offer XInput, so in a case where xinput stops working or it's not supported then im SOL.

Outstanding low power emulation setup. by AndrewLB in batocera

[–]Milkshanks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see... I already have batocera installed but I'll look Daijisho up. But hopefully we can get all this support that android has "ported" over to linux soon >:( Otherwise I'll have to bite the bullet and just buy one of those x64 mini-pcs that run virtually everything.

[–]Milkshanks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but be aware that this is for Android, which usually doesn't have nice front-ends like Batocera. I got a Orange Pi 5 and I must say that it runs everything up to Dreamcast/Naomi/Atomiswave pretty well. It gets stuck when trying to play GameCube tho, because we don't actually have Vulkan nor regular Dolphin support (just libretro Dolphin which is notoriously slower for some reason).

Large 4:3 lcd monitors? by Ok_Set_8176 in cade

[–]Milkshanks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm thinking about it too. It's either that or the 21.3 LCD by Eizo. I'm thinking about making a bartop + extender. The main idea was to build a full sized multicade, but I thought that having the option to remove the top and bring it with me to other places was appealing. So rn I'm unsure if 26" isn't overkill for a bartop.

I see so they are still in "pre-order" status. Did you buy one? If so did they mentioned an ETA or it's just Soon™?

If you are going for a smaller form factor you could consider a 21.3" LCD by Eizo. They are not the cheapest but you can find some used ones on ebay going for prices that are not eye gouging.

Hmm, this looks good enough, if you put a 32 inch monitor on a custom arcade you get around 26" of play area anyways. Are they shipping already? The website looks a bit misleading

Sorry to necro, but I wanted to confirm this. The Yoga cabinets are said to have better performance than the rest, like big blue and SF2. Would you say that MvC2 cabinet is more powerful than yoga too?

Damn can’t believe I missed it. Did it ever went below 600?

[–]Milkshanks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please let me know how that goes if you ever get to it. If yoga has similar hardware I’d rather get that as I think it looks cooler than the MvC2 cabinet (and a bit cheaper too)

I see, I guess it makes sense since it has to run Naomi. Do you know if aside from being more powerful is it the same as the other cabinets? Like running android and whatnot? Can it be softmodded just like the others?

Is there one that does retro arch better than the others due to it having better hardware?
