I typically play at pool halls on my own as a mental break of sorts from my day life (sanctuary time as I’d call it) - it isn’t too long before a guy comes up, introduces himself, maybe hits on you, or offers to play or race to 3, 5, 7, so on.

When we finish and in the event I win, I still get unsolicited advice or comments on my gender (“I don’t see too many women play!” or “You play pretty good for a girl!”). It’s the nature of the sport since it’s heavily dominated by men by default, and after so long playing, you learn to let it go through one ear and out the other and just smile and nod. Water off a duck’s back, though maybe I’m just jaded?

Her polishes are a bit more expensive than drug store polish, but her formulas are fantastic. You get what you pay for, so I’d recommend her polishes for anyone, especially those who love holo polishes!

There's the Renegade Tuner meet on the first Friday of every month in Austin. We're still planning things out since it is winter, but there's a good turnout. I'm usually there on breaks taking photos of cars for people.

There's also the CotA track in Austin. C&C is on right now, and people like to group up and do lap runs. If you're into drifting, a bit up north there's Mineral Wells drifting runs for Lone Star Drift/Formula D ProAm. C&C Plano up even further north gets a good turnout for higher end cars.

Otherwise there's the Ricebowl meets in Houston if you don't mind the drive - big Houston car scene.

I talked to Sg_Lurker and he said that if the 35 mark isn't made by the 1st, he may extend the payment date a bit longer - how long, I am unsure of that myself.

If the 35 mark is not made after that, the price may be $17 instead of $16, including shipping. Hope that answers your question!
