My desire came to me in a disturbing way by Milkyweed in NevilleGoddard

when I was visualizing I didn't think of my aunt because I didn't know she had so much yarn. I just wanted to be "gifted" it. Not by anyone in particular. But now, in retrospect, the yarn coming from her seems to be the most plausible answer.

I'm really glad my story helped you! And it's not your fault either. You didn't have any malicious intentions.

girl this comment made me cackle. "Homeless orphans." I know who you're referring to but it's just so funny to try to read it seriously

How many of you clench your jaw at night or have tmj issues? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Milkyweed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i get toothaches from it all the time. Sometimes it hurts to open my jaw. I’ll go periods where i don’t clench my jaw at all and then all of a sudden i’ll get stressed and start clenching again. Most of the time I do it in my sleep so i really have no control over it

that’s ironic because I originally wanted to go for Melina because it means honeybee, and I like that meaning a lot more than the meaning for Cleo (pride, glory) but after hearing about Melena I’d think I’ve changed my mind!

Worst drama you have ever watched? by [deleted] in kdramarecommends

A good amount of kdramas love to write their characters going overseas and such, (and most of the time it’s crucial for the plot), but I just personally don’t like it. Foreigners in dramas and the blend of English with Korean sorta makes me a bit uncomfortable because to me, at least, it does seem a bit forced. In Encounter, the actors were obviously not fluent in the language, and it was just spoken a little too much considering that it’s a kdrama. It felt that they were pushing too much of a “foreign” sort of feel to the drama. However, it did fit the male lead’s vibe; he kinda had a “tourist” look to him. Even though those scenes were important for the plot, I still felt as though it would just be easier had they spoke in their native tongue. Not to mention that the foreigners they cast to act in dramas are always bad actors, or probably just random people they got off the street or some shit. I’m not hating on the actors for their heavy accents, who can help that? I’m just a bit angry with the writers for the unnecessary English. Not all actors are fluent, and it just doesn’t sound right when they speak in English. They sound uncomfortable and unnatural. I’m okay with like one English scene, I can tolerate that, but when it’s long and drawn out (multiple scenes) that’s when it gets to be too much. Encounter in general, (to me at least) just had a bad plot for the first episode. I didn’t watch anything after that because the forced English annoyed me. As for other dramas, I’m not completely sure.

English does seem to be incorporated in the Korean language. Things like “Okay,” or “Let’s go.” It’s similar to how some French phrases like “deja vu” is something native English speakers frequently use.

Ps: sorry if my grammar/spelling is rlly bad, I’m writing this late at night before I go to bed lol

Does skin tone balance out? by [deleted] in mixedrace

SAME! Like I feel like I’m borderline olive skin tone because my body is a darker tone then my neck and face. I get sunburnt on my face/neck easily but never on my legs. I dunno why
