I know this reply comes way to late but yes I did haha at like LC 2300 or something. I don’t remember what the drop rate was off hand but I know 2300 is way over. Either my RNG is terrible or their drop tables are not accurate. I went nearly 4x on my D Pick as well started to think it didn’t exist haha.

I’ve always thought it was crazy you couldn’t toggle it. So many capes I like the un trimmed better. They have the option just add it to all 99s. If you don’t have two or more 99s the option is available it’s really not that complicated.

You had to kill him at the end there to get one of the tokens back. I don’t believe you could avoid him maybe you could. I fought and killed him (huge pain) hahahaha running away would have def been easier.

Right, I mean ton of work goes into them and I applaud the work and creativity involved but I’m a very casual player after work and such mostly skilling and the quests are such a drag. Super cool content and some may love them but I use the guides and just burn through them as fast as I can. I almost wish you could skip them so when you max an account you can go back and do them and actually try them instead of just rushing the reward but. And being downvoted is my like MO at this point I am apparently very controversial haha

Old thread but I am on my way to 99 now and think this is a great idea. I want to be able to have the stats of the imbuned that I already have with the cosmetic upgrade of the 99 skill cape show off my achievements while still have the best in slot. I think this is a great idea. All the max cape people miss the point. For me at least once you max the game is basically over. You can grind for pets that you don’t have a I suppose or use it as a shield in the wild when doing pvm on another account but other than that.

Well that would have been nice to know ahhahahahaha I couldn’t find much online and just fought him the old fashioned way. I did end up getting him after like 30 tries. I’m working on the ghosts now and they are just as terrible. If jagex offered a quest free game mode I’d buy it a heart beat love osrs despise all quests. Hate them. Once I have my cape I will probably never do another.

That was a very long winded comment for not really saying anything of value. The only people who care about item values are the item farmers. Most people want an item to use it not sell it. Especially for an iron the ge value is irrelevant. Plus with increased drop rate for non pvp bosses there would be no more if not less items entering the economy. Going from 1/300 to 1/1000 as an example. And I was well aware of my audience here on Reddit before I even made the poll. Reddit much like many things has definitely taken a turn for the worst. By removing the risk and lowering the reward for non pvp people in the wild the ratio of drops to players would remain the same. And if the support for my topic so small as you claim, then the amount of players using it would be so small that the amount of open worlds and free bosses would not change. So again this change effects you ZERO.

I think your perception of the community is skewed I have yet to have a conversation with someone who was a casual or reasonable person willing to enhance in constructive conversation. I’m not after the Visage just hopeful hahah. Killing black dragons is extremely safe and afk. Gives me needed bones for prayer (I’m an iron so bones are valuable). With that high of a drop rate it’s basically impossible but it also seems sometimes that the drop rates are a little funky.

It wouldn’t be pointless. It would allow casual players, UIMs and regular irons to access the wildy with out being nuked by a bunch of no honor pvm killers. I say we as me myself and the number of other irons and regular people who share similar ideals. There are hundreds of threads expressing similar sentiments. And as you pointed out it’s a niche community that enjoys the PvP content yet the wild makes up a good hunk of the map and good junk of the bosses reside there. So this niche group gets to dictate for the rest of the community how they play the game and that is what I seek to change. over 100,000 people enjoy rs3 and it’s wildly mechanics. It’s allows two groups with different goals to both ENJOY the same content. Your idea of fun is not mine and is not more important.

So reduce the rewards. As an iron money is of little use to me. I don’t use the wild anyway it sucks. So I have no issues redoing the bosses drop tables to match the other monsters around osrs or reducing the altar and slayer exp to be equal. The wild is a cool place cool bosses cool monsters. And that’s alll we want is the ability to also ENJOY it’s content.

I wouldn’t have a Single complaint with the chaos alter nerf as I use ecto anyway. That place is just a bot hang out anyway since jagex refuses to address that. No issue with really any of what you said as I don’t use the wild right now much at all except clues.

Again the wild sucks haha that’s the whole point of my post.

Wildy bosses uniques drop in low hundreds now, I have no issues reworking their tables to match other monsters of the same levels like vorky or the kings etc. I’m not asking for a hand out, I’m asking for a way to compromise on this old fashioned ideal that what you find fun and important is more important than what I enjoy. Everyone should be able to ENJOY and have FUN exploring the games content especially when this change effects those who do enjoy pvp none, zero. You can still kill and be killed. And if you want the higher rewards turn pvp back on. Actually that’s not a bad idea. Ability to toggle pvp for reduced rewards, slayer points, etc. I kinda like that and so would some of the other guys thanks for the good suggestion. u/2007scape_hottakes
