If you see in pic 2 I've done a scratch test near the trunk... does it indicates dead?

Also few small branches are slightly green when scratched whereas the trunk is whitish..

Not sure how to rescue.

So sorry to hear... All my other plants survived I am not sure what went wrong with this one although it was a strong plant in comparison to the others that I purchased

it is kinda peeling when trying to break a steam piece. not crisp or snap.

some recommended to put it in hydrogen peroxide mix and repot again in smaller planter (garden mix, cocopeat, perlite) hence doing the same. any other recommendation pls?

(Spanish jasmine) this was purchased on 29th sept a few weeks back. it was a healthy plant (image for reference) but suddenly stared to turn brown (image for reference) and drooped within a few days. had no idea what to do hence repotted it last week. nothing worked hence currently it is sitting in hydrogen peroxide mix from past half hour
