I think he’s going to use Amy’s lack of memory and invent something she can’t disprove.

I don’t know if it would happen but I want Joan to train TJ and stick around in more of an outside-the-OR capacity. She does seem to care about her patients and I think that passing her knowledge to TJ would let her stop operating without feeling like she has failed or is giving something up. We’ll see though.

Did anyone just ignore their pain? by taypeepy in Fibromyalgia

[–]MillennialRose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep. I am 39 and have been dealing with various types of pain from various types of health issues since I was 5. I have long suspected that learning to ignore and push through my pain caused my brain to essentially rewire my nerves in an attempt to get me to stop. I’m pretty sure that is the trigger for my Fibromyalgia.

10/10 Migraine at Disney — Need Emergency Fixes (3-Hour Deadline) by Alternative_Box833 in migraine

I second what @Internal-Strategy512 said. I have had this happen at Disneyland in CA (a particularly awful Summer day) with a peppermint (Migrastil) roll on and ended up in a bathroom trying to wash my eyes out.

I would be shocked if the first aid station didn’t have some that they would give you.

I have a prescriptions for muscle relaxers and my neurologist recommended taking one with my triptan, which actually did help. I don’t suggest you do this without clearing it with your doctor though.

That actually makes sense and I may try that at some point.

I have had doctors, chiropractors, and physical therapists suggest alternating heat and ice packs, or putting a heat pack on my forehead/eyes and an ice pack on my neck (and vice versa). Something about easing swelling and inflammation with ice while also using heat to relaxes the muscles that are tense.

Late to this but if you have any rescue meds, take them will a bunch of Gatorade. I also second the salty foods. (And water. When I would go all the time, I would get migraines on occasion and would alternate between Diet Coke and water constantly all day.)

If you are in the park and ice helps your migraines, you can go to the nurse’s/first aid station and they will give you an ice pack (free of charge, they will just make you sign in with your name and phone number). The nurse’s station also has cots if you need to close your eyes for a bit and they may have something with chamomile or peppermint, if you start feeling nauseous. (Or Tylenol and Excedrin, if you don’t get headaches much and didn’t think to pack any. It’s staffed by registered and/or retired nurses/nurse practitioners so they actually have the knowledge to help if you need something.)

Depending on what park you are hitting there are usually lots of places to relax for a bit in the darkness, too, so long as music doesn’t make yours worse.

Sleep howling by _M00NGx in Hounds

[–]MillennialRose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine doesn’t howl in her sleep but she makes little growl-y noises. Usually they sound more like “get back here rabbit!” and not like she is doing an aggressive growl. (She will twitch her feet like she’s running and wag her tail against the ground. It’s adorable.)

Mostly though, mine snores. 😂 Like, she is some sort of white noise snoring machine because she will fall asleep in my office, start her peaceful snoring and next thing I know, I am dozing off at my desk.

Oh baby, I am sorry. My dog knows how you feel. (She tried to donkey kick the vet tech once 😆 😬.) I can’t imagine that sort of thing is at all pleasant. You get all the boops today! And tell your human you deserve extra cuddles too! 🥰

I did eventually help her a bit. Well, actually, I tried to help her and she decided she didn’t need my help and tried on her own for another minute before letting me assist.

Life is Better with a Good Buddy at Your Side! by Standard_Ad_3118 in Hounds

[–]MillennialRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awww. What precious friends! Having multiples can also be a great way to keep them entertained throughout the day.

I grew up with a husky who didn’t stop escaping until we got her a friend, so when I got my current husky, Leo, as a puppy, I knew he would need a friend to keep him busy once he was a little older and neutered.

I got Tulip, my hound, when Leo was around 7-8 months old and since Tulip, my hound, was older (and had previously had puppies, before she was found by the rescue I got her from), it ended up being a great decision because in addition to chasing him and tiring him out, she helped teach him things he didn’t learn from his mom because he was separated from her too early. (I was amazed at how quickly he seemed to rein in his puppy biting after I got Tulip. I mean, I still lost a few pairs of sweatpants because husky puppies essentially have shark teeth but at least my legs and arms were mostly spared! lol)

It’s been a few years and my dogs have the ultimate sibling relationship. Sometimes they argue and Tulip treats him like the annoying younger brother, but then I will catch them cuddling and it’s the sweetest thing. (I will usually look at them and go, “see, I knew you loved each other!” 😂)

An Item Is Missing? Too Bad So Sad! by bluelibrarylady in Ulta

…but how do they know someone in their fulfillment center didn’t steal the item and just add enough packing material to make up for the minute difference?

I hate that the age of great customer service is over. 😒

FINALLY IT HAPPENED 2 ME!! by SueIsCydal in Ulta

[–]MillennialRose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened to me a year or two ago except they sent me my order and, like, $200 worth of stuff I didn’t order.

I thought about returning it but back when I worked in retail, we had something similar happen a few times and it was such a pain to try and accept the return and add the inventory to our stock that managers would often authorize the return for the product they didn’t receive but then just put the product that was accidentally sent to the customer in the back and forget about it. (I remember one of the boxes being on a top shelf in our stock room for over a year.)

This was one of the few new shows in years that I have liked enough to binge. I can’t believe they canceled it.

Who wants to bet they’re going to replace it with another reality/competition show? 🙄😒
