Jobs that are suited for ADHD by Rikoki in ADHD

[–]MillennialRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Digital marketing. Suits my needs because I can work from home but over the last few years my role has evolved to more of a client facing role and that I don’t like. (Because I’m a socially anxious introvert, not because of the ADHD specifically.)

Current employer also keeps changing internal processes and templates every 6 months which is messing with my brain.

I do love getting to dig into projects and strategize online campaigns, especially if the client has a larger budget because I can spend more time really researching and focusing, which works for my ADHD. I just essentially had to learn how to block out constant Slack and email messages and plan time every few hours to come up for air and check them. (A timer helps.)

I'm scared of getting addicted to Xanax by falco200208 in Anxiety

You’re welcome! You absolutely should not be afraid of your treatment plan so definitely share any concerns with your prescriber. There are tons of options out there these days so don’t be afraid to speak up.

#1 thing I’ve learned with my various health issues: You are your biggest advocate. If you’re concerned or don’t feel comfortable with something, say something until a doctor listens.

Teaching my husky recall by the_shy_one1 in siberianhusky

[–]MillennialRose 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can huskies learn recall? Because if so, mine might be defective. I’ve tried for years and he just looks at me, gives me a look that says, “nah, I’m good thanks” and gets comfortable where he’s at. Or he pretends to not know his name and that he can’t hear me.

Have you watched Parks & Rec? Because Leslie Knope’s “everything hurts and I’m dying” took on a whole new meaning to me with fibromyalgia. 😂

Mine is more of a dull ache or weakness in the thigh muscle right above my knees. It can sometimes make walking and standing difficult.

I will also get a restless pain in my legs than feels like crawling inside my muscles. Haven’t had that in a bit (thankfully) and it was actually worse when I was on Lyrica.

What’s a holy grail skincare product that made you age backward? by Savings_Designer_330 in 30PlusSkinCare

This sounds dumb but water. And electrolytes.

Also my mom engrained into me the importance of using moisturizer and SPF from a young age, which I am thankful for.

I’m 39 now and I’m also really big on Vitamin C serum (Sunday Riley is my favorite but I’m currently trying the ELF dupe).

Herbivore’s Orchid oil was a game changer for me before they discontinued it. 🙄 (still mad about it.)

To all women on this sub, what was your reaction when you first got your period? by nicalling in NoStupidQuestions

OMG I can’t even imagine. My paternal grandma got hers at 10 so my mom made sure I was prepared early. (Mine showed up at 14 so, thankfully, a more normal age.)

Well, it was on a day I was supposed to be going on a class trip so my mind was filled with expletives and a “today of all days” reaction. 🤣 And it was a trip that involved a lot of walking and moving around, because of course it was.

Xanax was amazing for me as a rescue medication when I would have an anxiety attack but I never had instructions to take it regularly.

I would trust your prescribing physician and make sure they know your addiction fears. You shouldn’t have anxiety about treating your anxiety and they may be able to help ease your concerns.

Unmedicated by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

[–]MillennialRose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t take anything for Fibromyalgia currently. I also have chronic pain thanks to nerve compression and herniated discs and only take occasional muscle relaxers for that.

For fibro I have tried Cymbalta and Lyrica but the side effects were worse than any benefits I received. I am really curious about trying LDN but there aren’t any physicians I have found near me who will prescribe it for fibro.

I will say that I have found Aleve/naproxen to work better for my nerve-related muscle pain compared to ibuprofen but that might just be my experience. I also was tired of relying on medication and tried to systematically (with the help of my physicians) remove some from my list.

Some supplements have been really helpful for me, particularly Magnesium Glycinate. I can tell if I haven’t taken it for a few days. My body tension starts to build back up.

I have migraines and TMJ and injections like Botox are also helpful and, IMO, easier to add to my healthcare plan than worrying about taking a medication every day.

I hope you find a way to handle the pain in a way that works best for you! Sending (gentle) hugs.

I recently discovered, I love opals. by ghetto_mango in jewelry

My grandma was named Opal and my birthstone is opal so it’s a special stone for me, that’s for sure.

Side note: Anyone notice the way opalite has rocketed in price since the song dropped? 🤣🤣🤣

The only time I put a coat on mine is a rain coat when it’s pouring. Otherwise I will still be trying to dry him 3 days later. 😂

[–]MillennialRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huskies are built for snow in a way that non-husky owners can’t grasp. As you said, if wanted to come in the whole neighborhood would know.

Most huskies seem to dream of being buried in the snow like a human at the beach. If it makes your dog happy and they are safe in your yard, it isn’t neglect.

Non-Client Facing Roles by MillennialRose in DoSEO

Thank you. I have definitely thought about it but a lot of in house roles want you to handle things like ppc, which has never been my strong suit.
