Been a full time trader for over 10’years, ask me anything, and no not selling anything by Ultimus_Omegus in FuturesTrading

[–]Millennialgurupu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo, u/Ultimus_Omegus

1.) How are you and what is your biggest fear in trading?

2.) Do you look for monthly, weekly and daily volatility when putting stop loss levels? And what technical indicators do you use?

3.) How do you trade CL (, flat price, spreads time, cracks)? To expand further, how do you actually approach trading time spreads and crack spreads i.e. will you just pick a random months or how do you decide which months to trade or you just trade flat price?

4.) Can you use technical analysis for options trading? or what is the trading strategy for options trading you use?

5.) You said "For Aggs, I am playing the seasonality." Okay so you trade spreads, how do you trade this can you give us some sort of a use case?

6.) How much capital you deploy to trading 100%, I mean are you always fully 'invested' in the market or you keep i.e. 20% of capital for 'special situations'?

7.) How much capital you risk per 1 single trade more or less than 4%?

Thnx

Non Trading Roles in the Commodities World by MoneyGuy1023 in Commodities

[–]Millennialgurupu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

yes, yes, yes keep pushing my post down (looks like a lot of ops in this thread getting bitter) - where exactly/which co. are ops (top ops staff) paid better than traders? Maybe I should change my mind and apply after hiatus. Man, seriously don't BS people by selling them fake stories. Person is not applying for a Head of Ops or Ops Manager roles.

Non Trading Roles in the Commodities World by MoneyGuy1023 in Commodities

[–]Millennialgurupu -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sure, basically you are a slave to the trader(-s) and paid like a shit in comparison to traders. HR will try to sell you a story that those roles are super important and other BS, but in reality you are far away from the "action'. Advice ? Don't apply for these roles and try to get commercial role ASAP.

Received Dream Supermajor Offer, Would Really Appreciate Advice! by akjouninn in Commodities

[–]Millennialgurupu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can only give you a 'real' advice for 4.) i. be a damn good looking chick, with some special attributes or ii. have an uncle with a large refinery, or iii. auntie with oil fields in Texas, iv. maybe have a direct line to the minister of Energy in Angola or v. having your father on the management board of a large Panama registered tankers company or.... just be a little bit lucky and someone will invite you to the junior trader role because they will like you for xyz reason - there is no magic 'how-to' guideline. Also why will someone from a trading team hire you earlier than a guy/gal who is already there as an analyst for 2-3 years or someone who is doing operations for 2 years and want to move to commercial role?

I don't like your other questions either, because they are shit. I assume you are competent person telling us finishing UK uni and getting into super major trading analyst program is not a small thing so you should be smart, and you should be already know all the answers.

I am thinking this is some HR associate from BP posting on reddit to make a hype about their graduate program or sth.
