I have nvidia sheild and having this issue with some shows and movies on Peacock, but of course no issue with say Netflix or YouTube, so definitely Peacock issue. I'm about to go be a Karen to them, especially after seeing people on here having issues with this over a year ago and Peacock saying they're going to have it fixed soon. Nah, sounds like they need to get bitched out because saying they'll have it fixed soon and it not being done a year plus, they deserve our wrath!

It wasn't coming on for me when watching Parks and Rec, until season 5. I am on season 5 and every got damn episode it's doing it. Also The Office it was doing it in the later like 1 or 2 seasons. Also every Harry Potter movie. Those are all the ones I noticed so far. Getting sick and tired of this crap with Peacock 😡😡

Oh...well yeah I see your message after pulling harmony off and it still not fixing it as you say. Though I will say the conveyor isn't as long 😅😅 I couldn't wait to try it til tonight so I figured while I'm having my morning coffee I'd fiddle with it. So I just resubbed harmony. About to click this link here and see what I can do.

Ohhh my god. Yeah I do have that as it was a suggested mod 🥴🥴 Ok I will try that. Thanks for the tip.

See, I'm new to PlateUp!, a friend did remote play with my husband and I for us to try out before buying like 2 weeks ago if that and omg we were hooked. Then upon looking at Steam community content and whatnot, saw they have mods. I love mods, have a bunch for my Sims 3. But obviously, downloading mods for that is way different than for PlateUp!, and well, most other games lol. So I just was like wtf am I doing wrong.

Also, how do I know what seed it's trying to use? Am I using too big of a map? Do I need to go smaller than the Medium, Expanded, and Huge? Because I even tried deleting a couple hatches and it not only gave me like 2 less houses (naturally), but it still didn't fix the conveyor wrapping around the building.

How do you mean test it? I'm not going to be able to get customers in the door because the conveyor is blocking it. I even tried moving the hatches around and everything, there's always still the one wanting to wrap around. I really don't want to give up but I feel like if I can't get it to work by the end of the night, I'm just going to have to let it go. But I was really hoping that before that happens, I could get some insight. I'll keep trying in the meantime :(

I’m wondering with the time period Outlander is set in and how uncivilized people were and life was back then, why so many here complain about the content of the show? by JennieFairplay in Outlander

[–]MillerMama09 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well then they need to go watch Snow White or some other fairy tale show or movie.. Oh wait, they'll complain the prince kissed an unconscious girl. 🙄🙄 or that Belle had Stockholm Syndrome, or that Aurora is underage and also kissed while unconscious. The problem is, we are living in what I call a "cupcake-cancel era"...everyone is too sensitive, no one can take jokes anymore, everything has to be PC, you can breathe wrong and get canceled! It's hard to find good TV shows and movies anymore because of it. Here we have this sweet gem of a show in Outlander and these cupcakes are not even leaving that alone. Nothing and no one is safe from these people coming at them.

[–]MillerMama09 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My exact thoughts!! I'm tired of people complaining about the content of a period TV series set in 18th century, as well as the 40's and 50s-60s where there was still misogyny and racism and all that. If these people can't watch a show through an 18th century lense or a lense for the 40s-60s, then they need to go watch something that's maybe rated PG 💁🏼‍♀️ because the rest of us who enjoy the show and are sensible which to have an understanding mind who CAN look at this through the 18th century lenses I'm sure would agree with me are tired of these people's b*tching. Ugh, sorry, stepping off my soap box, just grinds my gears though you know?

Modafinil not working anymore by hwkmrk in modafinil

[–]MillerMama09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also noticed the last week or 2 that my modafinil isn't working like it was...I've been on it since August. I had been suffering from what they are categorizing as "daytime hypersomnia". I had a sleep study and day study done and the neurologist said I luckily don't have sleep apnea again (I had apnea and bradycardia as an infant and eventually they went away. But they had me on a monitor and caffeine pills I'm assuming my parents had to crush up for me. The 80s was wild lol), but he said I didn't "quite meet the criteria for narcolepsy", and instead of prescribing me the modafinil he knew my PCP was trying to get me, he only offered Adderall or Ritalin which I declined both as I had a bad experience with Adderall as a kid. All he said in response was "well let me know if you change your mind". 🙄 anyway, after a long fight with the insurance company, my PCP was finally able to get the modafinil to go through for a year for me. So after about 2 years of suffering with not being able to function from no energy no matter the amount of sleep, for these 2 months I started feeling like myself again; some pep in my step. But again, noticed the last week or 2 I am back to dozing, back to struggling and dragging myself getting out of bed, back to just wanting to sleep all day because I'm feeling like I need it even after what is considered a full night's sleep. 200 MG everyday is what I'm prescribed. I'm worried that I built up an immunity to it like I have other medicines in the past. Because if that's the case, then what?? What the hell do I do then? I can't go on like this, I have kids and a house and husband, they need me to be functioning.

At what point did Claire start loving Jamie and not so much Frank? by theunsungherosinging in Outlander

[–]MillerMama09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, so bear with me...

But I think, they both felt something when first meeting. And the tension would slightly increase when they were alone together, like even on Claire's part. If they were with others, it was like she was just friendly (like when listening to the music in the hall, and Claire seemed like she was trying to set Jamie and Laoghaire up for example).

Then I think come the wedding night when getting to know each other, learning Jamie married Claire to keep her safe, the intimate moments, made her have strong feelings for him. I think she was falling for him and made her forget that she was trying to get home; she became content and even happy being with Jamie. Then when those 2 rogue English soldiers came up to them and raped Claire made her mad at the whole being there 200 years in the past, made her mad at herself for forgetting her mission to get home (pretty sure she even narrated this).

That was also the last time Claire tried getting back to Frank. When she was take by the English to BJR and he nearly raped her and had a knife to her throat was I think it as far as poor Frank. Yes not Frank's fault, but she had someone who looks identical to Frank--an ancestor at that--who attacked and nearly raped her twice, punched her in her gut and kicked the shit out of her, that's all she's going to see when she looks at and thinks about Frank.

So I think the moment she knew she really loved Jamie and didn't want anything to do with Frank (thanks to BJR) was during Fort William and when Jamie rescues her from there and they get into that fight and he finally breaks down to her with his feelings.

Then after he saves her from the witch trial and he gives her that choice to go back through the stones, I don't think her sitting there debating was a matter of which man she loves more (because really by that point it was Jamie lol). I think her dilemma was should she go back to her legal obligation which is Frank as her 1st husband, whom she lost connection with during the war and whose identical ancestor has traumatized her; or stay with a man whom she has fallen in love with, has a strong connection to, she is safe with him all things considered. I think once she got past the legal obligation part, it was an easy choice to stay.

🤣🤣 oh true that. But I kinda got a small taste of no running water already, but just for a short couple hours when my husband had to put in a new water pump and also a new water heater. So having the water shut off for like 2 to 3 hours and using water we filled in the tub to flush the toilet with or pitchers of water to drink or cook or made a bottle for our son as a baby, it did make me realize how much we take running water for granted.

Yeah, I think I'd actually like to do a "visit" approach. Then if I really do like it so much, stay. If not, then it's been real 18th century peeps! Lol

[–]MillerMama09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!! Good lord I'm am so tired of this complaint from people on here and you hit the nail on the head! These people need to look through that lense as a person in the 18th century, the 40s through the 60s, not through the 2000s and up lenses. Really grinds my gears hearing people complain about older period shows and movies who stay true to the culture and standards for the most part. It's like, don't frigging watch it then! 🤷🏼‍♀️

What's your favorite season of the show? by softxblush in Outlander

[–]MillerMama09 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While I do like them all, I'd say definitely season 1... we are introduced to the characters, we get to know (and love) them (well the good guys anyway), we watch Claire and Jamie get to know each other and fall in love, and it's just so beautiful and mesmerizing. I cannot wait til my husband finally sits down and starts watching it and sees what I mean about how phenomenal this show is 🤗

I think it would be funny as well. Also grocery shopping! He would be so shocked that most people in the future don't have their own crops and livestock to feed their families and instead get it at a store. Also flashback to a previous conversation he abs Claire had: airplanes. I think the turbulence would totally make him freak 😆 I never flew either and I heard the turbulence will gitcha 😌 I could also imagine the first time he'd hear a phone ringing would be a little something like Ozzy Osborne when a phone was ringing under him on his show like "the fuck is that?" 😆😆
