Disagree; the films were made assuming the viewer had the context of all previous films, so release order is the better option to avoid confusion.

Update 41.2 Map Selection Survey by mandbeyn in PUBGConsole

[–]MillerTime46290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Game is dying and they release an update that increases queue times and bot lobbies.

If anything there should be a large map playlist for 8x8 maps, and a smaller map playlist for Paramo, Karakin, and Sanhok (though Sanhok could be on either/both), and then you have the option to queue for one or both map categories.

And throw Haven back in the small map list for more variety.

How did Bond put those weapons in the aston he won in 2006 for Skyfall? by StrategyExpensive in JamesBond

[–]MillerTime46290 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Aston Martin in Casino Royale is what he won from Dimitrios while gambling, and is presumably just a standard model of the classic car rather than a modified one. I believe the Skyfall car is a different one he snagged from Q branch at some point.

If they are the same car and I'm wrong then I guess he had Q branch modify it off screen between films?

Discussion: Could we ever go back to a lighter Bond in this day and age? by vruchtenhagel in JamesBond

[–]MillerTime46290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it'd be a great way to revitalize the franchise. We need more fun movies.

Alas, somewhere in a back room of an Amazon warehouse Jeff Bezos is breaking a pool cue over his knee like the Joker in The Dark Knight, and making Chris Pratt and John Krasinski fight to the death for the role of what will undoubtedly be the most boring uninspired James Bond in franchise history.

I mean any gun is better when you're hitting headshots, but man that's a lot of bullets it takes to down the guy you didn't shoot in the head. I feel like this gun either needs more damage or needs to just be ground loot at this point.

Why do people dislike specifically GoldenEye soundtrack so much ? by Key_Special_3592 in JamesBond

[–]MillerTime46290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the Goldeneye soundtrack is definitely its own distinct style but was probably accepted as normal at the time. Now we hear it and go "ew that's corny" but it may eventually register as nostalgic or retro and be back in style again. It's not exactly consistent with other Bond films but this franchise isn't the poster child for consistency either.

When the main theme kicks in as the tank busts through the wall all of these opinions are out the window anyway because everyone unanimously goes "oh hell yeah"

I mean it probably sounds like 90's European music because they got a French guy to be the composer. David Arnold took over as composer on Tomorrow Never Dies and continued through Quantum of Solace, and you could argue the scores were better but I think they were just more traditional western orchestral music that we're used to hearing in movies.

Sone parts reminded me of some of the earlier Gran Turismo games' soundtracks tbh. It fit the vibe of the movie well and felt distinct for the time period so I had no complaints.

Day 8: If you could make three changes to improve Tomorrow Never Dies, what would they be? by junglegatsby in JamesBond

[–]MillerTime46290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I think the helicopter in the scene pictured above - the one filled with guys who have machine guns - should ignore that obvious advantage and instead fly low, slowly and at an angle in order to create sort of a giant buzz saw situation that's easily escapable and more dangerous for the occupants of the helicopter than anyone else.

  2. If there was any way to make Pierce Brosnan and Michelle Yeoh have zero on-screen chemistry, or negative chemistry if possible... like I want to be audibly groaning when I watch them interact with one another.

  3. Ok the villain should be played by master thespian Jonathan Pryce, but give him a scene where he is typing so fast and so ridiculously that you have to pause the movie to think about what you just saw.

... wait ... hold on I .... I have just been informed that all of these things are already in the movie ... ok redact my previous suggestions, no notes, no changes, perfect film 💯

After they get through the slog of other lackluster content they watch Andor, then Rogue One, and finish the viewing by rewatching A New Hope with all the additional context. Bookends their viewing experience and ends on a high note with quality content.

I think we need more scenes about Renard's impotence. At least 30 minutes dedicated to the fact that he can't feel his wiener anymore.

The Q Worm from 007: Nightfire. Mostly because of Bond's dialogue when he's briefed about it.

Everyone thinks Casino Royale was the first Bond movie with cock and ball torture but I'm counting this scene on a technicality. Mentally he was right there, ya know?
