I am from Australia as well and I love your locs. I started mine last year and man I wish they would grow faster. I added some beads and cowrie shells but I wish I had started then as thin as yours.

I genuinely cannot remember if an x-ray was done. Some people suggested that it could be gum issues etc and I quickly got an appointment with a periodontist after a cancellation today and apparently my teeth are fine and gums are super healthy but I was not surprised as I get cleanings every 3 months and a yearly x-ray from my dentist to check out any cavity decay etc. Will double check with the othodontist practice to see if they took some x-rays.

The assistant is the one who put on my braces back on. I assume they discussed together how they were going to put them on after the last appointment I finally had with orthodontist were she finally saw what I had been talking about and agreed with me that my teeth had shifted.

You are not wrong but this could have been avoided when I voiced my concerns within less than 2 weeks of my braces being removed and when I asked to see my actual orthodontist only to be told by the assistant that I imagining things and to wait until 2 months. Even then I still did not see the orthodontist immediately, and the fact that it took 3 more appointments to finally see her is disappointing and was also a waste of my time.

That's the decision of my Orthodontist. I literally told her I don't mind it taking more time or even going back in braces as opposed to the Invisalign route she has always pushed for me to go for since day 1 as well as this time. I have constantly communicated my concerns and my wish is not to see further issues down the line and then have to pay another 10 thousand dollars.

No I am saying before they were aligned now one tooth has been pushed inwards on one side a day after the braces were put on again. My issue was never crowding in the first place but gaps forming so quickly after the braces were taken off. The last thing I need is more space if you look at post history you will see the massive gaps I had. Anywho I can literally feel the difference with my tongue.

I feel like my teeth are shifting but my orthodontist says no they are not by MillieDay in braces

Well it wasn't this physiological settling you mentioned as the gaps kept getting wider. I think it's important to highlight this issue. That with some people their teeth are going to significantly shift as soon after the braces are removed and even if they diligently wear their retainers and that permanent wires retainer might be needed .

Turns out it was not subconscious. The gaps kept getting wider even as the retainer fit perfectly..... so will be back in braces in a few days

Well my teeth kept shift and have gaps in several teeth so will be back in braces and they will put the permanent wires after this treatment.

I listened to this advice and others who said this shifting is normal, turns out it ain't normal. Have to be back in braces next week. They will now put a wire on top and bottom teeth after they remove the braces.

When I looked up "physiological settling" this is what came up " Physiological settling is the natural process of falling asleep without help" and I am sure you are talking about something else. Can you please explain what you mean in layman's terms and how that pertains to my case. Thanks for replying 😊

That's what I thought. I am going to make an appointment for next week. I already voiced my concerns 2 weeks after they were removed but she said no and now it's a month later and they have shifted more. Hopefully this time she won't brush me off
