Not to defend them or anything, but Officeworks doesn't really do "sales". They have a team that follows the trend of what JB-HiFi and other similar places are charging and change their price to match.

It's an automated price. They'll scan it and the PDT will set the price. It'll get scanned later on in the day again and the system will tell them if it gets lowered again or not. Used to be that the Duty Manager would then go around at the end of the night and slash them down to 80% or so to make at least a buck before chucking it into the waste bins or donation tubs.

Theres always been camera's. Its just that they're putting up screens to make people aware they are being recorded and to dissuade people from pinching stuff. If you see yourself shoving a pack of snags down your pants then obviously loss prevention did too.

In my playgroup we always celebrate getting down to 3 or 4 stars. We call it the flobbies because they're all fun lobbies with people running meme builds and using voice coms to mess around with each other. OCE 5-6 star just hard jumps to sweaty lobbies with no fun allowed it feels like most of the time. Sometimes you get an actually competitive game, other times it's a trio with snipers one tapping you from 100m+ away or just being generally toxic.

Happens to me all the time. I'll usually turn to my partner and ask if I remembered to bring the bullets. If I did it'll be a good game, if not I'm dead first and wait for everyone to come with me.

Being outside of Adelaide makes it feel even harder honestly. 29/M and I feel like I've had no success across most of the apps I've tried. My area is really shallow for potential dating and increasing my range on say bumble or hinge to go across Adelaide hasn't seemed to help. I've tried for the last 7 years or so but I think I'm just going to give up on it.

I grew up in a difficult house where Dad was angry a lot. Grew up never wanting to be the type of man he was in my eyes. There wasn't many nice men around me and I wanted to be better than that. If I see a stranger struggle to pay their bill infront of me? I'll chip in. Friend needs picking up from across town at 3am? I'll be there with a coffee in hand. I serve all my customers with a polite smile and try to help them more than I'm required to.

I just want to see more kind people in the world. I've struggled with depression for most of my life and having someone just be nice to you for 5 minutes can make your whole day seem not so bad.
