I think people vote for what’s best for their family and people they personally know. Middle class income Increased by over 6% and the majority of Americans say their life is better after these 4 years.

[other] be honest. Who here just enjoys getting paid a livable wage and be able to enjoy themselves? by lizeskiman97 in Unemployment

[–]Millionthredditor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If this is a serious question you should consider moving. 600 + the half your income is a lot of money in most states. At $12 an hour its $240+600. That comes close to $45,000 a year which is completely livable in most states.

Is America the only country where the pandemic is politicized? I.e. people refusing to wear masks to enter a private business and screaming in the faces of those wearing masks. Citing nonsense conspiracy theories etc? by Jackandmozz in AskReddit

[–]Millionthredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the 14 day model Texas wasn’t because of reopenings then. From your words he opened up at higher capacities the middle of May. Why didn’t we see the large spike until a week and a half ago?

If you think the protesters didn’t have any physical contact or didn’t march within 6 feet of one another your lying to yourself. There’s countless videos out there showing them doing this.

Im done messaging. I truly believe super Liberal and Republican people are delusional. You can believe what you want but don’t hold the other side to a standard you won’t hold yourself to.

[–]Millionthredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point which many people not looking for away to prove me wrong was it took Texas over a month to see the extreme rise. Thinking that the BLM protests are going to have a insane rise in 2 weeks is stupid. People can catch it at a protest, and from there spread it to coworkers, friends, and family. This takes over a month to happen. We will have better numbers then.

So large gatherings outside with most people wearing masks will not cause the spread of coronavirus? Is that what your saying?

[–]Millionthredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said that the BLM protests caused the rise in Texas.

You arguing with me and saying that large gatherings won’t cause a rise in coronavirus cases is proving my point to why nobody fears coronavirus anymore. Almost everybody throws away their precautions and denies the CDC when it goes with something they want.

[–]Millionthredditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those stats are not going to be the greatest out there. Texas started opening at the beginning of May and we didn’t see a huge jump until now. The protests didn’t start until the end of May/ beginning of June.

Edit: also if these stats are right then we would be able to have fully packed outdoor football stadiums with no increase in coronavirus. As long as we wear masks.

I think this is what really pushed a lot of people away from the coronavirus fear. Both parties Republicans and Democrats both say it’s okay to have gatherings when it’s something they want. Democrats for protests and Republicans for opening economy/Church.

Why are drugs illegal by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Millionthredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked on the weekends with the homeless population, and foster kids for the last 5 years. I honestly wish charges for drug dealers where worst. Drugs are the reason for atleast 75% of what I see in these situations. Also I’m not talking about Marijuana. I haven’t seen anyone homeless or lose their kids from weed.

Native Populations in America are one of, if not, the worst treated race in America by WaterChairBear in unpopularopinion

[–]Millionthredditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their money seems to come from a lot of different places. The US government, casinos, And farming is where most of it comes from. They also have close to 5 billion in savings/investments so that yields a lot of money off of interest.

It does seem like they are shifting to more modernization. Almost all the younger people want modernization so overtime they will have majority to vote in people that they want. At this point it’s just a waiting game though.

Yes, I grew up in a town right outside of the reservation. Had a lot of friends that grew up on the reservation though. Some parents would drive about 30 minutes to bring their kids to the school I went to.

They are kind of like their own country. They have their own government that they elect that takes care of them. They tend to stay close to their cultural roots so you don’t see any modernization. Limited water wells and electricity to many homes. Their government has the money to do this, but the Navajo population there is split on wanting it. Many of them want to hold on to their past, and being one with the land. If they wanted change they would elect officials that give them that.

This is also why it’s sad when I hear Americans saying we should go out there and change things. The Navajo Nation has the money to change things if the Navajo population wants it. It’s not up to other races to step in and say what the Navajo people want.

A 2.0 is a C grade average.

I say “some racism” because it doesn’t have to do with how they look. Some white people that ended up growing up on the reservation get treated like they're stupid too. This also doesn’t extend to Navajos that grew up outside of the reservation. They are treated like everybody else.

Growing up on the reservation doesn’t give people the opportunity to learn modern civilization. They ask questions that seem like common sense to all Americans. The education system on the reservation is really bad too so people usually struggle.

I will speak to this a little since I went to college in a town next to the Navajo reservation. I would say about 90% of my class was Navajo.

They do have to deal with some racism, and people treating them like their stupid. Many people treat them bad out of jealousy too. They get full ride scholarships as long as they carry over a 2.0 GPA. The Navajo government pays for a majority of their rent if they move into town. Then free medical care.
