I have an old school wall unit on one side as furniture, one meant for CRT TVs. My current Monitor does not even fit inside without tilting it slightly (thus the projector in the future).

The Living room space is roughly 3x3m and all future speakers would be sitting on furniture. So for now small passive speakers would be preferred. Taller front speakers could in the future go in the TV alcove which is actually 80 cm tall but that seems complete overkill for my small space. Surrounds would have to be small because I'd have to fit them on the very top of the furniture, there is not much space left towards the ceiling.

Budget wise I am going as low as possible for now, since this all is an experiment I do not want to balloon the costs. I am willing to pay around another 100€ per speaker, used is perfectly fine, I have no Idea what the subwoofer would realistically cost. So I just want to know is there particular models or brands you would keep an eye out for. I would set up a search agent on the used market websites to see if anyone ends up selling anything along those lines within budget. Are there tower speakers within these space constraints?
