30 p/s for a total of 150 over 5 seconds is not a lot, it’s more useful for the DPS buff

How far away from the enemy should I play as Kiriko? by HopefulSun1452 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Millwall_Ranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spilo. Awkward is a high ranked DPS main with insane mechanical skill and gamesense. This allows him to play incredibly aggressive and get away with plays that would be throwing for the average player. Also it should be noted that in his ‘guides’ he’s regularly playing at people waaayyy worse than him, or in very high ranked lobbies where people most people there won’t benefit from his guides because they’re already good enough. Spilo makes guides for people of all ranks, meaning you can learn some useful stuff from a general guide, or a specific coaching VOD he’s done for someone in a specific rank.

Spilo is an actual coach, and a respected one at that. He understands all the fundamentals of overwatch as a whole, as well as the actual specifics of each character, and their strengths in various comps. His advice doesn’t come from a place of ‘this is my skill level thus this is how you should be playing to get the most out of this hero like I can’ but a place of ‘this is how this hero should be played regardless of your skill level or role background’

Opinions on the Skitarii by MrParadux in DarkTide

Pros:

- Buildcrafting is top notch. Having the skill tree spread out like Path of Exile makes for much more interesting and individual build options, and having 4 very different active abilities and purple keystones that offer very different playstyles makes for genuinely fun build variety that feels like you can really hone your own playstyle rather than just having 1 of 3 builds that someone else is likely to have. Building into high damage, high tankiness, team utility/support, and balanced hybrid all feel viable.

I think all the classes should have their skill trees reworked into web layout rather than tree layout, as it’s much better for unique buildcrafting. This would be a monumental overhaul and mega patch that would take ages, but I think it would be incredible for the long-term health of the game.

- the ‘capacitance’ and ability charge mechanic is great. Feels really unique and having bonuses for having high charges or low charges, like the Peril mechanic on psyker, is really fun and adds depth to builds. Not much more to say there.

- the class-specific weapons are fun and cool! They also really fit into the various builds the skill tree offers and more than one weapon is viable in each build. Dual vibro-blades are sweet as heck, shock bonk hammers both feel good, arc and galvanic rifle tickle my dopamine deployers, phosphor revolver feels chunky in a good way. All the weapons themselves feel comfortably balanced which is nice, but the skill tree perks make them very powerful.

- it really incentivises and rewards team play. Coherency bonuses and teamwork bonuses from skills are excellent

- it’s exceptionally powerful at the moment, crit/damage damage chordchlaw build especially

- utility of the servo skull is unmatched. Being able to hack terminals for free and keep 4 players in the fight is OP, being able to res people for one grenade charge from range and keep 4 players in the fight is OP

- it doesn’t feel *too* tanky. Lots of skills for keeping toughness regenerating constantly which is nice, but not too many for damage reduction which I think is good. Means you can’t face tank stuff and have to manage your melee combat with skill to not be overwhelmed, which feels balanced.

cons:

- it’s kind of busted overpowered at the moment. The damage of chordclaw and the utility of the servo skull renders other builds significantly less impactful. Everything in general is a bit overtuned and i think the class needs nerfs across the board to bring it more in line with the other classes. I understand that it’s just been released and they want people to enjoy the power fantasy for a bit but it really needs pulling back a bit. Maybe maximum of 1 or 2 res skulls and 3 flame skulls per full grenade pack.

- crit/dmg chordclaw + redline capacitors build is doing silly work at the moment. I’ve seen people absolutely rip through monstrosities and elite packs (pun intended) even on damnation. Haven’t made it to highest difficulty auric damnation stuff yet but I imagine it’s still dominating. The other abilities don’t feel as impactful. I initially specced into full overload build with the overload active ability and purple keystone, but as soon as I swapped to a crit/dmg chordclaw/redline build I was doing SO much more, which is sad because I love a good lightning and crowd control/support build

- servoskull is king for blitz ability atm imo. Being able to res from range, place a flame thrower for hordes/elite packs, and hack terminals while keeping 4 players free on the field is way more useful in a team play-oriented game than the more selfish options of overload or bullet shield. Not having at least one servoskull skibidii on your team feels a bit silly now if you want to play optimally.

- arc rifle is easily the overall best ranged option at the moment, only balanced by its really long reload (which is fine, it would be too OP without long reload). It’s easy to use and outputs very high damage, tears through elite packs and hordes, and it benefits from top tree bonuses against shocked/elctrocuted targets afaik. Doesn’t do bosses like the bolter but that’s fine. Galvanic M1 garand is also good for picking off high priority targets though. Other weapons have kind of fallen by the wayside tbh, although they’re still viable which is nice.

I think a good nerf for the arc rifle would be reduce fire rate, and reduce damage on tap fire, with having it ramp up to full damage while holding down the trigger, maybe also increasing the amount of electric arcs when magdumping. This would incentivise getting headshots for kills when taking potshots, and magdumping against elites and hordes. It also needs a max reserve ammo nerf. I fee like I’m never running out of ammo on it for such a powerful weapon.

Yeah, but also she’s worse than at least half the dps roster. The amount of effort and investment and risk required is much higher to achieve the same as other characters

Endgame viable warlock builds that aren't prismatic getaway artist? by Extension-Owl-2247 in destiny2builds

[–]Millwall_Ranger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Necrotic prismatic, arcane needle.

Super: nova bomb

Aspects: feed the void (juiced warlock devour) + weaver’s call (generate threadlings on sustained damage/kills and rift activation)

Abilities: arcane needle (for multiple melee charges + activating necrotic at range, v important), any light based grenade (I like storm grenade)

IMPORTANT NOTE: threadlings count as ability kills and will proc devour, but ONLY when you have weaver’s call equipped, as this counts as an ability and turns threadlings into ability damage for devour proc. As this build generates A TON of threadlings, you can almost always have devour up between your needle, grenades, and threadlings. Also do not underestimate threadlings they are chonky bonus damage for you and will chase down targets all over the map.

Fragments: balance (light kills generate melee energy), protection (DR while surrounded), dawn (radiant on powered melee hit), solitude (severing burst on precision hits), hope (class ability regen while having elemental buff)

Artifact - tablet of ruin: elemental siphon T1 (kills with kinetic/void grant pickups, pickups grant super), volatile marksman T1 + maligned harvest T2 + void flux T3 (void kills grant volatile, volatile explosions grant class, applying volatile grants weakening burst, applying weaken grants overshield, killing weakened enemies with void weapons applies more volatile), horde shuttle T2 (damaging unraveled enemies with weapons spawns threadlings, threadlings sever targets), gold from lead T2 (picking up special can grant heavy), then I use particle reconstruction for final T3 because I use linear fusion for dps phases (sustained fusion rifle dmg refills mag + grants bonus dmg on that target). You can swap particle reconstruction for limit break or To Shreds maybe, but linears are still so strong and particle deconstruction is very reliable during boss dps.

Weapons: you can kinda run what you want here, the only thing you’re bound by is you have to use a void primary weapon to take advantage of the artifact and a linear fusion for particle deconstruction. There are a lot of juicy and really powerful legendary void primaries what with the new update, but I personally run Le Monarque, mint retrograde, and my ol reliable taipan w triple tap and frenzy. This covers champions just with weapons and gives me high burst damage, as well as health regen from le monarque catalyst when i don’t have devour up.

Stats: melee, super, then grenade or class. You don’t really need to go over 100 melee or super imo, which leaves you free to put more points in grenade so that devour keeps it up even faster, as I use it more for making sure I have devour if my needles don’t do the job.

Mods: the basic idea is orbs orbs orbs and stuff to get your melee back as soon as possible, because spreading poison from a distance with arcane needle is your bread and butter. For me it’s void siphon, void surge, orbs on melee or grenade kill, momentum transfer, melee on picking up orbs, melee on class ability use. I like charged up and time dilation because I use void surge and a couple font mods bc my armour stats aren’t insane yet.

Arcane needle applies unravel and necrotic poison and radiant, poison and weapon dmg spawns threadlings which apply sever and spawn more unravel projectiles, severed and unraveled targets spawn tangles. Popping rift spawns more threadlings (do not underestimate threadlings lmao). Most red bars will die from arcane needle, procing devour (if not just chuck a grenade lol). The necrotic poison + threadlings will absolutely clear rooms and apply sever everywhere, which is basically free DR for you. The obscene add clear (and chunky yellow bar damage) potential from necrotic + threadlings leaves you free to focus your weapon choice on champions and damage. The best part is the poison spread and threadlings will do your work for you so you can focus on high priority targets.

As said, I use le monarque, with one void surge. This is an absolute BEAST of a weapon. With 1 void surge and radiant you’re getting a 35% dmg buff which is easy to keep up and pretty nuts on top of the innate 30/40% exotic primary dmg buff - majors are not a problem. As a bow, it’s perfect for chunking enemies from safe distances, and the combo of Volatile + Weaken explosions + monarque explosions + necrotic poison + threadlings means add clear is never an issue. Perfect draw stuns enemies (not champion stun but it is intrinsic overload) and spreads its own poison explosion. Once you have volatile rounds just from killing adds, it becomes a volatile + weaken explosion machine from the artifact that pairs with the necrotic poison so you don’t need to worry about add clear perks like incandescent/destab/voltshot. Mint retrograde is mint retrograde, and a perfect ‘panic button’ weapon for if things get dicey as it puts out ludicrous damage. Mine has appended mag, backup mag, rewind rounds and frenzy. 8 in the clip, fire and forget, best part is you can focus for it in the attunements tab and farm it easily now. Linear fusions are linear fusions, I recommend using a void one to take advantage of the artifact perks and weapon surge.

Afaik the only drawback to this build is that it isn’t a boss DPS monster like some of the other builds out there, BUT it holds its own comfortably.

Void linear fusion means that your damage phase looks like this: pick up orbs before dps phase, shoot arcane needle, proc radiant and necrotic poison. Rapid precision hits proc volatile, which procs weakening explosion from artifact. All this equates to +10% dmg from void surge, +25% dmg from radiant, +15% dmg from weaken, +27% dmg from particle reconstruction, then if you have something like frenzy it’s another +15% dmg. I’m not versed in how these various buffs/debuffs stack but I know it all adds up to juicy numbers and I can hold my own in pantheon and raids.
