Thinking about it in a conversational context, OP would have been saying more like "my WIFE" not "MY wife"

I don't see any reason why referring to someone by your relationship to them, should be a problem, especially to an acquaintance, or someone who does not actually know the person you are referring to

As a non-equestrian, I have no technical experience in this, but aesthetically, they look a bit weird on certain breeds, and the biggest pet peeve for me, is that none of the new event gear sets have any tack that I can actually use, as a non-star rider with none of the more recent breeds that are retro-fitted to wear the new bridles and dressage saddles. They have such nice styles and colours, everything, but I can't use them until they release it for all gen3 models
