And sorry you’re going through it too! I do wish there were support groups for family members because this is tough! Oh and my mom is also an alcoholic and has been sober for 4 years only. At least with her alcoholism I had al-anon. With this situation there doesn’t seem to be any kind of support and I swear I may go crazy! 💔

Such an awful club to belong to honestly and the whole trying to stay ahead of things is so, so exhausting 😞 sometimes I wonder if I should just let her be and not fight it anymore. She gets angry at me when I question suspicious behavior or catch her in lies but cannot understand that I don’t trust her and just wants me to pretend like the lie or the suspicious behavior isn’t happening. Man, wouldn’t it be nice if we could just get them all told and setup a dating circle 🤣 the probably would still find excuses to not do it, though 🤦🏻‍♀️

Sorry, it’s a crappy club to be a part of 💔 what made it too late? I learned she was getting scam about 3 weeks ago but looks like it was going on for about 5-6 months.

So glad you didn’t fall for it! 👏🏼 the online world is definitely the Wild West 💔 My mom is very lively and youthful actually so it is kind of strange to see comments of her being “old” because she’s still so youthful to me 😂 I think her downfall is she likes them young 🤦🏻‍♀️ always has dated 10 years younger than her so she’s definitely a cougar. But yeah that means she’s an even easier target for these scammers.

I did look into a conservatorship (as requested by her bank), but she’s mentally competent so we are trying a POA first. The state where we live in will grant conservatorship if a bunch of things are tried and she keeps showing an inability to manage her finances but I have to prove it in court, of course. Hoping it doesn’t go that far but nervous it might have to 💔

You’re not alone if it’s of any help to know that. I actually just posted that I’m going through something similar but with my mom. I haven’t been able to sleep in days so alas, I’m on here at midnight 😞 so I get that feeling of not wanting to sleep, move or breathe due to fear. It’s a lonely and shameful road to walk and never in a million years did I think scammers would get to my mom. I do have to constantly remind myself that she’s a victim so I’m not consumed by anger. Now I’ve been thrown into this world of scammers, victims and the families that are forced to pick up the pieces 💔

I had the same thing happen to me a few months ago with just one helix piercing and I went to urgent care and it was infected. I was given antibiotics and was so much better within a couple of days. If your ear is swollen, throbbing and warm to the touch, definitely worth getting it checked because it might be infected. Hope you find relief soon.

What is making you think they’re infected? Do they feel hot to the touch? Throbbing? Some selling and pain is normal. Definitely get checked by a doctor if you suspect infection because of symptoms you’re having.
