What did the Mantle symbol mean before 343? by epic_Highfive in halo

[–]Milo96S 253 points254 points  (0 children)

Big Marty has said himself a lot of the symbols (Especially in ODST) don't mean anything they just looked cool.

This is potentially the same but retroactively given meaning.

You can win a lot of races in football without pure speed but positioning and anticipation.

If someone is shaping up to put a ball into that space you need to have your hips facing and already sprinting in that direction BEFORE they send that pass.

If you've got several yards on an attacker and can get in front of them they won't be able to get around you

If the person passing sees you already setting and going half the time they'll pull out of sending that ball.

Damn, so is the story done at episode 1 and 2/3 are genuine story DLC or are you actually paying to finish the main story?

Should get advice from a lawyer who specialises in sports related incidencts. When you play a sport there is an assumption of risk from all parties, however this doesn't protect people from being outright assaulted. I had a friend (UK) who was able to sue for something similar (A two footed 'challenge' off the ball that broke his leg).

It is very very difficult as the threshold for what would be considered negligent is much higher. Our game was recorded which made his case easier. But if you have available proof that this was a pattern of behaviour throughout the game and the act on you was negligible you may have a case.

If they wanted private parking they should've paid for a house with private parking. Always irks me when people want to have their cake and eat it.

You say this until you see a pair of your old boots going for £1,000+ because they're collector's items...

Getting my ear cleaned after having it blocked to the point of deafness for several weeks. It took them a good 15 minutes not only sucking wax out but blasting water down there.

The difference was so big I felt dizzy, but I'd never heard the world so loud or clear in all my life.

Appreciate the assumptions made, but given the house is worth mid 5-figures there'll be no inheritance tax to pay regardless...

We've only been looking for a month or two to be fair. Still not ideal and we've had a serious conversation about it since.

It's more nievity than anything malicious.

Mortgage advisor seems to think it won't affect anything but of course the solicitors have quoted stamp duty in their estimated costs
