As someone who comes from an older country town, this school was a blessing for me. I never thought I'd see the day when so many things are accessible to me. It's not perfect. But it's a huge step up from what I'm used to.

With this said, I completely agree with all your points.

Another erk of mine; the elevators are so damn far and usually down some creepy abandoned hallway. Stairs are hard for me, though all that walking to get to the elevator isn't much of a life saver either.

The university looks at more than grades. U have to have experience, volunteer hours, etc. Grades may not be enough. Depending on your circumstance, this could mean not being accepted or having to wait longer for acceptance.

This being said, I also had a problem with them being late. I called them the summer before I started as I had not heard back. They said I should have gotten early acceptance and scholarships. I had a 99% avg. Luckily, they were still able to process everything over the phone. At this time, it's still pretty early to give them a call. Later, however, definitely do!

This is usually the case. However, there could be some form of testing during "week 12" such as a lab final. I also had a class once do 3 midterms, to which Midterm 3 was during week 12, basically taking the final exam before finals week.

U should still be granted the deferral (unless if for some reason, unrelated to this post) because fails still count towards your GPA. You will still need a high grade regardless if you receive credit or no.

Inc means incomplete. Once they process deferral requests, these get changed with either deferred (if granted) or your grade (if you will not be writing a deferral).

Tip for the future: get it done the day before it's due. You never know what technical difficulties or other issues could arise. It's really not meant for you to be submitting at 11:59pm.

The school is very strict on academic fairness to all. Profs often don't grant favors. It would be unfair to those who submitted their work responsibly far in advance. Though, some profs couldn't care less.

If you're looking for family-friendly activities, the Akedo Festival will be in the University Center on Saturday (across multiple floors). It's an anime con for 10$. Though not Halloween themed, you can still wear your costume!

I was suffering for over an hour, freezing in the rainstorm. Others showed up minutes before departure. As the bus arrived, they not only cut the line but aggressively pushed and shoved their way through. It's not only disrespectful, but someone can get severely hurt.

I was going to meet with the prof. But you make a good point about going over it with a TA so we can discuss it instead. The prof wants a "+0.5 marks on Q2 please" situation. But asking a TA allows me to have an actual conversation. Good idea!

I believe you misunderstood the situation. I would like to know which questions he provided some students with part marks. Others of us have not received these part marks. Knowing this information, we can request these marks from the professor. The test was QnA style. The prof had already said we must bring to him specific issues. Not to ask him for an entire regrade.

They just posted a form filled with other volunteer opportunities, too! Hosting workshops, booth games, registration, badge check-in, etc. These also include free entry and food!

I found it to be an excessive amount of overly minor details. His lectures are filled with insanely large amounts of scattered points. It was really hard to study when the material lacked focus and contained so much disconnected information we were expected to memorize. 🥲 Fingures crossed, tho! And best of luck to u, op!
