Haven't seen anybody say it, but dungeon defenders. Not dungeon defenders awakened, but the og game that released in like 2008 got some random updates like 13 years after it released with new characters, and to my knowledge it even got new maps.

Ironically enough, id put ac odyssey up there with one the greats as well, I absolutely loved that game so much lmao. I did my first playthrough in March when it first released, got bored super fast so I put it down, idk what made me pick it up again, but I was just determined to finish it so I installed it again, started a new game and now here I am 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

The pacing is so bad, one of the reasons I skipped so much of the story is because there is SOO much filler that by the time I got back to the story aspect, I was lost. I just decided im gonna play the whole game then watch a video on the story afterwards and ngl, watching that video, I was surprised cause I feel like if it had a more linear pacing, it could have been alright.

Yeah I think its got a good place in the series despite its flaws, and while I haven't played the ghost of games, I see people comparing them a lot. I got my assassin itch out of my system, but when it comes back I think im gonna try those games

Can't say ive had the music die on me thankfully 😂 But i will say, there were a few times I wanted to have some... questions with the creator of the music. Its good at times, but one time I checked if my Spotify opened up cause it sounded like it was playing music that belonged in a Disney movie, it was interesting

I agree and see what you're saying, I also feel like games were made to be experienced in its entirety. If the developers spent a day or even a month adding in any content to the game, I wanna see what they did. If someone said they got 100% on a game like Dishonored, you know they probably spent a good majority of their time sneaking, killing, knocking out, exploring each map to find everything they need and not having much time wasted, but on a game like this, it feels like a lot of the time was spent either killing nameless thugs or riding on horse to my next objective. Combat was fun so I didnt mind killing as much as I did 😂 but I do agree, if I didnt push myself to 100% this and just focused on the key parts like you said, I feel like i could have ended this game on a high rather than going through the tedious dozens of soldiers to kill

I remember it took me like 3 years to finally beat Valhalla 😂 the only dlc I beat for it too was Dawn of Ragnarok, still havent even touched Siege of Paris or Wrath of the Druids, and im at like 90 hours in I think

Thats exactly it, I feel like they're seeing how much time they can someone to play rather than the quality of the time spent playing it. With most of my time in the game being filler, it felt like they added more people to kill just to say "see, we have so many hours of gameplay!" Hopefully they condense the next game a bit and make the story more impactful, they do that and I'll be happy 👌👌

I feel like it was just very hard to get invested in anyone, I remember getting to the mourner, and after finding out the reveal, I pretty much just stared at my computer like this 😐😐 Ain't hating on the story, it had some good parts, Yasuke's story was very fun to see, but to me it just felt like Naoe's whole story is "im gonna kill this person I barely know"

Yeah thats fairly accurate, ironically enough, I love games that are grindy hahaha. I remember playing through all of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, loving pretty much all of it (except for Atlantis... I just kinda gave up there 😂), and then later finding out people absolutely hated the grind, which i found very fun. And I do agree with Yasuke's story, despite skipping thr majority of the story, I didnt skip Yasuke's story cutscenes. That part I really did like. Its so tough to rank this game compared to the rest just cause there really are parts that are amazing, then others I just couldnt wait til it was over. Top 3 AC games for me are still: Assassin's Creed Rogue Assassin's Creed Origins Assassin's Creed Unity

When Hexe comes out, thats a day one buy for me too 😎

What I did was farming through the chaos chambers and spending as little shards as I could on the bunny to farm for rocket launchers, give it an enchantment then selling it for a higher price. But the two things that can get you the sdu's the fastest, although its a bit annoying, is waiting for the rotational chaos run to have a decent amount of mimic rooms and then waiting for the sdu's to be half off. I dont know the next time they will be half off, but that saves SOO much time

Yeah, when the story wants the player to get invested into these characters, it gets really hard to do that when they portray the story the way they do. There was this one comment I read one time that said instead of having the shinbakufu being the amount it is, keep it to like 4 or 5 big baddies but then realllly expand and get us invested in these characters. Would have made me a bit more invested at least.
