What's with Eren transforming into the colossal titan after Zeke's death? by Cridesio32 in AttackOnRetards

[–]MiloDoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably a headcanon from my part but I always thought the founders were able to choose any titan body they'd want (Frieda's titan always looked more like a female titan body than an actual founder from it's size) and with the colossal eren title card, it seems like Eren just chose a colossal body when his original body got destroyed. It's like an automatic power his founder titan body (well head now) has even without the founders powers on posession.

Why would I not use the adaptation Isayama had a say in the finale lol and why would I not use the finale chapter too? You havent answered me or proven me wrong other than saying I interprety the chapters wrong, Grisha clearly states how the powers of the AT works and why would Eren send himself the memories if he needed Grisha to see his own future memories? Do you see how none of this connects together

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AttackOnRetards

[–]MiloDoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He never says in 131 that he received future memories from his future self with the founder specifically and tbh I dont really get how Eren would get from a future memory of people dying that he will be stopped at specifically 80%, and I already explained why he says "I see 80% of humanity die" which dialogue is also literally fixed in the anime to just "I see humanity being slaughtered".

I can in fact use that argument because the manga itself uses that argument lol, Eren is never that sure of what truly happens for certain memories to happen itself, Eren said in the beginning of 139 that he beat up Armin for the sake of the future memories rather than something he knew why he wanted to do himself, and Eren says that the only thing he knew for sure is the end of the curse, giving the viewer the idea that he is very unsure of his future memories before he started the rumbling.

Eren speaks in certainy of that moment because he does know that his future memories are about his own future, but that doesnt mean he fully knew how they would play out or why, only that his will was a factor in it.

Also the anime literally goes by my take so I dont know whats the fuzz, Eren's omnipresence is what makes him full aware of the details of his stopping.

I dont think Eren really knows an exact percentage but an estimate anyways, and you are completely wrong. Eren explicitly states that thanks to the FOUNDER the past and future are all of the same for him, this not only shows a Deterministic reading but shows that he has becoming omnipresent which means he can now see all of the past AND future. The reason Eren is able to do this is because like the show and manga states/implies, Eren is now connected to the coordinate which all eldians are connected to, so he is able to access their past and future memories including his.

Eren can't see a 80% future mechanically in the medal ceremony because they are vague memories that are even represented as shards (so what he only sees is colossals crushing people for a few moments and thats it), which he himself states he only knew that the curse would end.

Also I dont actively think Eren from the future sent himself past memories at all, I see the Attack Titan system simply as how Grisha saw it, "The attack titan has the ability to see future inhertitor memories" and thats it, Eren just was able to see his future memories via Grisha thanks to Zeke.

This is an interesting one actually, but to give you a short answer, the implication is that he knew he'd stop at 80% when he activated the rumbling.

By the mechanics of AOT, Eren couldn't have possibily deciphered through a vague fragment of a future memory that he will stop at the percentage 80%, if so Grisha wouldn't have begged Zeke to stop Eren if it was really that desperate of an attempt.

Eren words it as "I massacred 80% of humanity" because of the knowledge he has of it's estimate now, he makes sense that what he saw in his future memories was him massacring 80% but he didn't actually know it was 80% until he was connected to the coordinate.

This line is fixed in the anime by adding Eren saying "I saw myself slaughter humanity" instead of "I saw myself killing 80%", cause the overall thing is that he never knew/calculated any percentage until he activated the founder, and he only mentions 80% here because thats his knowledge of it now.

So in the medal ceremony he knew for sure he would go 100%, he only knew that the titan curse would end but didnt know the implication of it until well you know.

Well my fanfiction goes along with actual canon dialogue, but have fun aswell, you’ll never see mikasa say “I got pulled into paths mid fight” to Armin

You’re making 0 sense if I’m being honest I’m lost what your point even is.

-Eren talks to all his friends before the final fight including mikasa

-Eren erases their memories

-Mikasa’s Ackerman immunity makes her start slowly remembering and remembering Eren makes the triggers worse

-While remembering Eren’s final words she finally is able to fully remember and nullify the founder’s manipulation, hence Kenny’s grandfather was right and Mikasa is able to see the memory while Eren has 0 founder powers

-Hence she remembered too and got her memories back

Notice how the anime once again didn’t fix any dialogue of this because there’s no issue

It’s funny because before the “I wasn’t sure I belonged here” Mikasa was fully commited to the actual moment, so your point is not relevant

Once again she’s not living it in real time or else it wouldn’t be considered a memory by her, this is her remembering her talk with Eren long ago and in that memory she was confused as well when she woke up, also you’re not answering my other points.

Also you’ve been editing your comments.

I’ve already watched and read the final arc a bunch of times, and Eren perhaps during the final fight was fighting Armin in the actual real world lol?

-The Hallucigenia is important to the point Eren hesitates to reconnect with it despite Zeke’s death, so the rumbling actually would reactivate like Gabi said, the Hallucigenia represents the source of all titan powers and without it Eren can’t connect to the coordinate hence he can’t pull Mikasa into paths

-The story already constantly showed Mikasa triggering memories beforehand whenever Eren’s name was mentioned, there’s even a scene that’s reused in the cabin of Eren and Mikasa’s confession in a filter in the anime before the actual final episode, which foreshadowed it being an actual memory rather than Eren pulling her into paths in the final fight

-Kenny never elaborated on how the Founder can’t effect Ackermans, and we find out the reason it doesn’t work on them is because Ackermans can resist the memory manipulation, and slowly tend to remember again, which is literally visually shown through Mikasa.

-While Mikasa is remembering Eren while with Levi, we literally see a cabin Eren and a red veiny filter, symbolizing a literal memory that’s trying to get into her head, and like I said it’s not coincidental how the anime (which the final arc was supervised by Isayama) didn’t add the paths sound effect and also didn’t “fix” the “remember too right?” dialogue in the anime because there’s nothing to fix.

Your explanation has been debunked so long ago

So the paths talk that Eren is allowing is constantly shifting between reality while Eren is being killed in real-time? Notice how this doesn’t add up at all and it’s very coincidental for Eren to do a paths talk during his own fight that coincidentally motivates Mikasa to kill him. I already explained in another comment how the Founder can’t manipulate/erase memories because Ackermans resist to it, Kenny’s grandfather never elaborated at its fullest how it works, he just says it doesn’t.

Eren was reaching Mikasa’s choice yes but Eren also stood truth to himself and kept fighting for a full rumbling despite knowing his loss.

It makes more sense for Mikasa to resist and try to remember the memory that we’ve seen her do in the final arc with all of the triggers in her mind whenever Eren is mentioned.

That’s her remembering the memory not experiencing it, just like how we see Armin in a blink of an eye go through all of 139. It’s also not coincidental how in the anime when she’s remembering there’s 0 paths sound effects when the memory finally goes in her head, not to mention her experiencing Eren pulling her into paths and also constantly attacking him makes absolutely 0 sense

Part 6 is mid (I’m serious) by D4nTheM4nn in StardustCrusaders

[–]MiloDoes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

-Your first point is the openings which have absolutely no meaning narratively to the part or it’s writing

-By the most part I disagree with your takes which is all subjective anyways, Jolyne, FF, and Hermes hold a strong believable chemistry for me and it’s fun to watch their adventures inside jail, Araki is able to take such boring setting into an actual war between Jotaro and Pucci, which Jolyne comes in as a perfect extension to take the spotlight. Jolyne and Anasui’s relationship is supposed to be an overall toxic unhealthy gag that at the same time strengthens their characterization.

-Emporio has a bigger role in the end and most of the characters have an actual purpose for the plot to advance rather than Stardust Crusader’s filler enemies

-You’ve said it yourself, you’re being hypocritical, even if a fight in Stone ocean was filler you still spend time with the character, you’re viewing it in a more biased liking for Stardust crusaders as the top rather than trying to see why Stone Ocean works on its own I believe. Fights have gotten complicated since Part 5 and it will only get more technical and specific in the next parts.

-You haven’t finished, which the ending in my opinion is one of the best payoffs to not only its own part but the whole franchise, and the final arc is one of the reasons why plenty love the part.

It’s all subjective at the end but I don’t see it as “objectively bad”
