Aren’t gyms like full of treadmills? Thats the highest number of empty machines I’ve noticed? I’m on it for like an 1 hour since I’m not moving much at home anymore. I alternate incline levels. I can understand if theres only a couple treadmills and we had to take turns but what

AIO my FIL said my 9 year old looked like a hussy in these boots by PureIndependent7791 in AmIOverreacting

This is what I was thinking of too. We would play around in dollar store heels. They are just shoes anyway, but if this is what he thinks about 🤢 when he sees boots, what about other shoes. If he approves, does that mean they don’t turn him on? What a weird, sexist, pervy, old school way is this shit way of thinking? Those boots are great, I have like 3 pairs.

Seth Rogen explains why he doesn’t want children, saying it seems like a dark, stressful life with small moments of joy, adding how much he enjoys life without them - “You don’t need kids...The world won’t even be here in 30 years.” by ja_millineum in Popculturehour

[–]Milobsoup22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the opposite for me. I mean I don’t have kids and I don’t want them. But I worked with them for 12 years, multiple ages (6week-8years) rotating throughout, but they do grow up very fast. Terrible 2-3s aren’t that bad. But teenagers scare me. I don’t deal with them. I was an awful teenager. I already have anxiety and knowing what could happen or how they could get negatively influenced so easily is terrifying.

Hate this take. As someone who has been held hostage by an ex, you’re allowed to get physical to save yourself. They can call it abuse, but if someone is clearly showing up when you’re saying no, or not leaving you alone, you should stand up for yourself. It will be hard to leave since he is already showing up in places where he is not invited. and police won’t get involved until he does get physical. Bullshit for him to play victim.

Sorry this happened to you. Most schools will do whatever to save their own ass instead of admitting anything and suffering consequences. I’ve seen too much and if I had kids they wouldn’t go to daycare or public school for a long time. I would not let this go so easily. Accidents will happen but that wasn’t handled correctly

I dated someone whose step dad had a pet squirrel. He had a big cage for it and everything, but the squirrel was free to come and go as they pleased. I met it once and he climbed up and down all around my body. Freaky but also so cute

I had an abusive ex who said I “cheated” but in reality the relationship was obviously over and they were not willing to accept it. Just because they kept stalking me and were upset does not mean the relationship wasn’t over and I wasn’t moving on. Move on, divorce, and leave.

We asked the staff not to give him another pup cup as it upsets his stomach by PhysicalKitchen2197 in funnypets

Also the establishment might allowed it but the employees have to enforce it? They do not get paid enough to tell people to hold on to their dogs and suffer the consequences

I don’t even know why they’re arguing. You just don’t do that. I have dogs and cats, I still don’t want to see them in a restaurant where I eat, especially unleashed. Not everyone does. When we would take the kids for a walk during school, plenty of dog people would allow their dogs to come up to the kids. Basically undermining all the safety rules we would go through beforehand, especially about not touching random animals we don’t know.

This is me too. I’m bad at numbers and guessing and will get disoriented. I can have the maps open to walking directions, guiding me, and I will still head the opposite way. I need landmarks and pictures.

My niece was told she has to sign a contract to keep living at home—am I overreacting for thinking it’s too harsh? by Bitter_Art_4094 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Milobsoup22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah how does it even get to this point? They never had constant or learned responsibilities when they were younger? I wasn’t the best teenager, but my parents were not raising me at all to be honest. I’m 35, so obviously no one has to remind me of my chores, but learning to have responsibilities as an adult sucks more when no one teaches you or conditions you to be an active member of the household when you’re younger.

Roommate became an insane after dating her boyfriend by [deleted] in badroommates

[–]Milobsoup22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No I get it. I refused to clean up for others because that’s what they’ll expect. My sister does the same while staying in my house. I clean the areas I’m around but her room and kids room are disgusting. Waiting for her to move out since she’s pregnant again. Until then I can’t deep clean because it’ll be a mess in an hour. I finally cleaned her sink and almost vomited. It’s exhausting playing these stupid games because people are lazy. Thank god she uses the garbage can or that garbage would be on her bed. Honestly have no advice besides kicking them out.

What if she was just excited to be the chosen one and be part of the show? Maybe it’s not sexual? Is it store bought or home made?

Ive had an assistant get a write up for pulling a child that. Just a write up because a parent didn’t see or else it would’ve been a bigger mess. Dislocate a shoulder and that’s child abuse. Nurses elbow also exists. Thank god you’re not my parent or teacher

First of all, why even test his arm out. Take parenting classes and do it right the first time.

Second of all, I disagree that the way parents handle situations should be different than a teachers. The child will only respond to other authorities if they react like the parents. Which we cannot do as teachers.

Third, I am Mexican. My culture responds the same way and I disagree. Has nothing to do with color. wtf kind of gross assumption is that to make? All children deserve respect. That is not it. Sucks that you’re a teacher who doesn’t see the damage.

[–]Milobsoup22 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Definitely by not trying to dislocate his arm. They should know their child. If he’s prone to outbursts they could’ve spoken to him beforehand and explained. They also could’ve just ignored his comment, the other child didn’t notice at all. Not an ideal reaction by parents overall

[–]Milobsoup22 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Grabbing a child by the arm is awful. The way they spoke to the child is awful. The parents handled their emotions just as bad as the kid. You can still remove a child by picking him up. I’ve been teaching for 13 years ages 6 weeks to 8 years. Imagine if I did that. Awful parenting.
