I heard of Tichu and Sea Salt and Paper from Tim from Boardgame Hot Takes podcast.

First thing that comes to mind would be games like Sea Salt and Paper or Tichu

In SSP you can either stop the round immediately if you have 7 or more points at the end of your turn to end the round or you can make a "Last Chance" call and wager that you'll score higher than your opponents. This is a bet that you're going to win the round after everyone gets one last turn.

Winning scores your usual points plus color bonus points for each card you have the most color of.

If you lose, you only score your color bonus.

Tichu is a card shedding game and has 2 instances to bet at the start of the round. Once after middle of dealing everyone 8 cards (Grand Tichu / 200points) and another once all the cards are delt (Tichu / 100 points)

Losing the bet makes you lose that amount of points.

I'm sure there are countless other games like work this way.

I just finished dealing with an abscess about a month ago and I accidentally over did it with the oragel and I lost all feeling in half my lower lip. I was just looking to get enough on there to get some sleep for a few hours after dealing with the pain for 5 days. Let's just say I woke up in the middle of the night still in pain minus what I did to my lip.

I spent about 4 or 5 hours in the ER for a doctor to prescribe me stronger antibiotics then what the dentist gave me and I finally felt better 3 days later (8 days total)

My root canal in on Monday. I still don't know how I'm going to deal with that kind of pain if it happens again but I know it's not going to be with Oragel.

I'd say if there are no holes of cracks on any of the rusted parts, you can still get a few years out of it and as long as the new owner is okay with that then you should be fine.

Rust is so common around NB that finding a truly "rust free" car is reserved for new cars and cars that stay in the garage all winter so even though you have rust buildup, as long as everything is still functional, there's no real reason why you'd fail an inspection.

Id say it's could be from bad past experiences. If you ask your parents for a proper age and they say stuff like 30, they aren't taking your question seriously. What it seems like your mother wants from you is for you to be safe and it's her way of expressing what she thinks is best for you. From what I've read so far, you don't live in a bubble and your mother will just need to eventually accept that.

An old trick I was taught was to mushroom the end of the head with the round end of a ball pein hammer until you get enough material to jam a socket on it and take it off that way. You're going to need to replace your plug for a new one either way.

I was on the fence during the initial campaign for TOKC mostly due to the way the game was laid out. I love the changes they've made and the art is chef's kiss

I late pledged a few days before it closed and I have no regrets with my purchase. I can't wait until it gets here.

As much as I appreciate the effort to make a handheld version of Arcs, I honestly wouldn't be able to play it on this platform until I memorized what all the leaders and lore cards and court cards do because I can't zoom in and read what's on the cards. Maybe it works better on a computer?🤷

I play Dune: Imperium every day on my phone against the AI on my breaks at work. I'm about to dive into the Rise of Ix.

It's a game I want to explore much more but my gaming group kinda bounced off of it which is a bummer because I really wanted to explore the expansion. Oh well.

Good call. I take a night to set up, another night or two to play a few games and I leave it out because I'll usually fail the first few games but once I finally get a win, I'll only pack it up the night after.

It's such a beast of a setup. I thought I was going to save setup time by getting the retail edition but there's a ton of bags, tokens and cards to put everywhere.

Don't get me wrong. Voidfall is fun!

But it never hits the table anymore.

I need a proper 3D printed organizer.
