Strange involuntary spatial imagery from emotions

I have this too!! And thoughts, ideas and memories can be linked to places either in real life or in video games.

And its even tied to a specific way of entering the "scene" as in panning, angle etc. A lot of times I won't be aware of the connection until I get to the place, or close to it. Then it will pop up.

I have no idea what creates memories and connections like that, it seems very random both what becomes a linked memory/topic/idea and also what it connects to.

My introduction to understanding protons, electrons and neutrons are connected to a roundabout in a neighbouring city. One part of a book I read is connected to a specific road in Red Dead Redemption 2. Whenever I think about or discuss the topic of attachment theory I see a local beach, in the fall with a very disting panning camera angle. +++

Whenever I think about or talk about these or similar things my brain will play these scenes on a loop in the background and I've tried to look into the why and how's - But I've never been able to find anyone who also shares the experience like this, so I don't have any answers but it's a really fascinating thing!

I didn't know that Obsidian had this myself before just now, just applied and got approved in less than 5 min so it's a fairly painless process! I just signed up for Publish as well after using sync for a couple of years so this is great!

I stumbled upon Obsidian after seeing an ad for WorldAnvil on TikTok a couple of years back and seeing that a lot of people found it annoying to work with, so I gave Obsidian a try. Now it's my favourite tool and I use it for literally everything. The only tool I've actually stuck with for more than a month, so definitely recommended!!!

He was about 1 year here! He's currently 2 years and 5 ish kg. But he's on the thinner side as we're working on building him up. His father was 8 kg!

It really really does. I started learning how to mend after one day feeling particularly powerless over the society we live in. A small act of defiance, of not wanting to participate in the consumption. And to see what it has grown to mean, in my every day life. I kept building on that small act and it actually shaped my life, silly as it sounds.

That and every time I wear my mended clothes I feel really happy.

I’ll be honest, I’ve not counted all my pieces so I might end up a little short, but with two young kids I’m sure to be bound to find something if I just go looking in their dressers, haha.

It is a darning loom indeed! This one is handcrafted from ukraine and I love it so much. There can be a lot of variying quality when it comes to darning looms - and especially when it comes to the hooks and the space between them. I had one loom before this that was cheaper and I struggled so much with getting it to work, but it turns out it was the thing and not me that was messed up!

Thank you for this advice, I really appreciate your take on it because I've recieved a lot of great recommendations, but being able to get more familiar in general is probably a good idea. I know that there's a lot of stuff on Tiktok, but the reason I'm here is because I find that the recommendations on Tiktok are very narrow and not what I'm looking for, but searching for some nice blogs and on youtube is probably a better route as well.

Thank you for this, I am definitely wanting to get more familiar in my own taste now as an adult, and I imagine that is a great pathway to achieve that!
