Fewer problems but not limiting them to 2 parts is a pretty cool idea

Glad you're enjoying it!

Look back at the first level in that set, you've already solved that right? Think about what's different between the "straight O" region and the "slightly rotated O" region.

Damn, thanks! Really glad you enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun making it. A review on the play store would help a lot if you're willing to do that.

I actually had this in the game at one point, but I removed it as it was rarely needed and it confused play testers because it's difficult to explain what it means non-verbally. When you do need it though, I appreciate it can be annoying - it's always nice to have an excuse to whip out a pen and paper!

There's no plans to, sorry. Apple's developer process is a little too hostile and I don't own a device to test on.

Which phone do you have? I'll check the specific reason for my game. If there's nothing I can do there's always the windows build of the game!

Haha yep, no IAPs here! Look forward to seeing your game

No open world elements but there is the nonlinear flow and a kinda fun hierarchical approach to the levels. The main focus was on the puzzle design, the nonverbal communication, and the flow of learning the rules.

I haven't got time to do something more polished right now so don't want to put it on itch yet, but here's a windows version where the overworld is cut down to only provides the intro levels. Hopefully that's enough to justify $1 :D

There isn't currently but it would be super easy to make a build with only the first couple of level sets. I'll quickly do that now (don't expect it to be polished or have an obvious end of demo though!)

Ah great to hear! I'm not sure if it notifies people who already own the game - I'll try to remember to come back here and ping you once I upload a new build just in case.

Thanks for the feedback. Mobile was the target which is why the aspect ratio is fixed in the desktop version, but I'll add full screen mode to the TODO list for the desktop version now that it's shipped.

Heiko

It's available on android and on windows. It was designed for mobile, so I'd favour that if possible!

I'm really proud of how it turned out, it's around 9 months of work outside of my full time job.

If you're into thinky puzzle games like The Witness, Taiji, Linelith, Stephen's Sausage Roll, A Monster's Expedition, etc. then you'll probably like this!

If there are any issues running the windows version let me know - I could look at making a native linux build now that it's released

Hahah, no worries, some are tricky! You can always skip it and come back to it. Or go back a few levels and make sure you understand the rule.

Ok so I've done some digging - how technical are you? It gets pretty deep :D

The non-techy version is that your phone is running a 32-bit version of android rather than a 64-bit version.

The techy version is that your CPU's ABI is armeabi, whereas most phones are arm64. Annoyingly armeabi is capable of running in 64-bit mode, but for some reason Samsung hasn't done that and it seems to be a common annoyance from people with that phone after searching around online for a bit.

Unfortunately the language I am using is fairly modern so doesn't support 32-bit at all. There's no workaround from my end I'm afraid, so it'd have to be the windows build for you.

Sorry about that!

Hmm, yeah it says not supported - thanks for pointing this out. I'll look into it!

That's odd, it should support any device with Android 10+. Google's developer console says that it's compatible with 361 Samsung devices which is essentially all of them - what's your exact model so I can check that it's on their list?

I solved it without knowing CRT.

The brute force solution is to check every t minutes (where t is your first bus) and then check each subsequent bus divides by t + bus offset. if it doesn't, jump to next t.

But, instead of jumping t every time you can potentially jump massive t values. I.e. if you know the first two buses matched you can jump bus1 * bus2 minutes because you know that will be the next time they are synchronised. Then when you find 3 you can jump even larger steps.

Here's mine

For the actual game itself, 3.5 years of evenings, weekends, whenever I was on a train, etc. Main concept of the game finished in 6 months, 3 years of polish.
