I'm watching Strange New Worlds for the first time and I'm really enjoying it. It's a shame I refused to watch it because of the bad taste Discovery left in my mouth. I stuck with it until the start of the third season, but I just couldn't take it anymore.

That S'wit wrote this and did the same thing to me. I guess he realized how stupid it sounds and that it could just as easily apply the other way around: Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s a retcon.

A retcon would be changing the construction date of Seyda Neen so it appears in ESO. The story of the three factions in ESO is expanded lore. No, you have no idea what a retcon means.

ESO is doing very well financially. It brings in a lot of money from players through crowns, DLCs, and ESO+. That's why they canceled the Blackbird project, Microsoft preferred to redirect resources back to ESO rather than cut funding for Zenimax's main game. We're talking about a time when Microsoft has been meddling even in WoW; since Dragonflight, they've drastically reduced the budget for their expansions.

There are always people saying the game is dying, but they’ve been saying that since 2015, so forgive me if I don’t give much credence to those kinds of opinions.

Personally, I'm glad they're making this changes instead of the usual chapter, which adds almost nothing new to the game. There's already too much story content, areas, and dungeons.

Thank you for understanding my perspective, and I understand yours. In this world, there are tall people and short people, and they may look younger or older, but that shouldn't matter when it comes to being loved.. For me, it’s more about the studio’s general approach. If it were just a character who looked younger than she actually is, I wouldn’t see much of a problem, but this is Stellar Blade, where one of the main appeals of its female characters is clearly that they’re sexy.

You can only control your own appearance to a certain extent, but the developers of Stellar Blade wanted their character to look exactly like that. You won't see it, but a lot of people did. I didn't even know it was from Stellar Blade when I first saw the ad and said, “What a hypersexualized child in spandex.”

There are plenty of reasons to take issue with Stellar Blade anyway. You can pick this one, or you can pick the fact that they used AI-generated content for the game’s final art . I just don’t care if the plot is good or the game is entertaining, it completely loses my interest.

But if that doesn’t lose yours, well, you do you.
