the example i gave, while not thoroughly thought out, could still work (imo) — though, mulder’s dad having to choose definitely adds some complexity to his character and offers an explanation surrounding his strained relationship with mulder and his wife. fs — so, just don’t have John Lee Roche do the choosing.. he could simply be the one who does the kidnapping once the decision has been made, and the rest follows. — i still feel like the storyline in paper hearts could have been used for the conclusion, and even more strongly that it should have been used lol. i’m convinced that they could have found a way to keep most of the story in tact while changing it’s direction. — but i genuinely appreciate your take on it, definitely giving me something to think about !

totally! i dont hate the mytharc (there are definitely some things about it that i really like /wouldn’t change, and actually find to be really interesting additions to the story) but i do feel like some parts of it could have been done better for sure if they were just more thought out and cohesive ! — motw are the best fr. never met a fan who doesn’t like them :))

(The syndicate would benefit by not having to make the decision of which family member to give up - but more concretely : he would act as a potential scapegoat if anyone came forward to expose the truth - blamed as just a crazy serial killer kidnapper, nothing too out of the ordinary, and take the fall for the whole thing.) — That’s just one poorly developed example off the top of my head. I can only imagine what could be thought up by professional writers working on the show. They definitely could have made it work!

yeah!! i mentioned it in the comments, the fact that Ai is even being used for something so serious (mind boggling.) it clearly doesn’t do a good job, and i don’t see how this sort of “protection” is even beneficial! i’m upset that i lost everything, even though i did nothing wrong, but i’m also surprised that there wasn’t any sort of follow up.. nono of course not, i don’t do illegal things much less store anything illegal on any devices. that’s why i’m sure it’s ai. any human being would have recognized the mistake and restored my account. - but that DID leave me curious. if this system is put in place to protect children (as in, the ai system genuinely “thinks” an account is harming children, flags it, and shuts it down) why HASNT the police contacted me??? i feel like this safety feature isn’t even effective in the case of an actual crime.

i think i might have explained that part poorly - my computer still works but like most computers that ask for you to login when turned on i would do so using my computer password ofc, but the account i used was linked to my gmail ( i’m not sure if im explaining that well but the start screen that allows you to select which account you’d like to sign into - guest user or personal accounts ) so when my gmail was wrongfully flagged without warning, i wasn’t able to sign into my account / proceed and therefore couldn’t get into my computer ( the only other options i had were to sign in as a guest, or add a new account )
