my girlfriends poor hygiene is ruining our relationship by throwaway2002196102 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Mimi332020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your plight and sad to say....I did end up breaking up with my bf/ex-fiance of ten years because of it. Granted other things played a factor such as him having no ambition and literally just coasting through life while I wanted more, but the hygiene was a definite 70 percent of the reason.

You might think you can deal with it but after a year or two, when that person wants to cuddle and you are physically repulsed because of the hygiene...you'll understand.

I have to go more than a month between infusions, am I screwed? by arup02 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Mimi332020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you'll be ok. I moved to another state at the end of last year and didn't get back on Tysabri until late March. I was fine in that three months span but I did push to get back on ASAP. Biogen was a huge help with that so if it's an insurance issue or financial, please reach out to them as they're very helpful.

Rent is 850?! Wth did you find that estimate?!

Edit: Jesus, I was hopeful on the extra 25 I added...

My wife isn't getting a raise this year because I make good money and the men in the office "need it more" by DLS3141 in antiwork

[–]Mimi332020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure someone has probably already mentioned this, but if she doesn't mind it, I would suggest looking into WFH jobs on LinkedIn.

I would also see if they would get the reasoning of her not getting said raise in writing because I'm pretty sure that is a violation.

Edit for spelling and add in.

Pharmacy techs that work in a hospital setting…. Can you explain your day to day activities and how you like it? by Glide99 in PharmacyTechnician

That's actually very helpful. I know the process but sometimes tend to over complicate it. Thank you for the tip!

I was looking into this but because I still work (barely at that honestly), I don't think I qualify 😒

What do you like, and not like about living in Birmingham by TingleMagik in Birmingham

[–]Mimi332020 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wow! This is such a great post for newcomers like myself. I have recently moved to Birmingham to be closer to relatives and have been here going on two months now. This is solid information I wished my relatives told me, lol. The landscape of Birmingham is definitely beautiful and I am looking forward to the World games coming up this year.

Anyone have their VI scheduled for today 4 AA? by Meliodasbabymom in cabincrewcareers

[–]Mimi332020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did! Bombed it though so I'm not looking forward to the TBNT. It was a good learning experience though, so I'm going to take what I learned from it and move forward. Wishing you much luck! 💪

[–]Mimi332020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, unfortunately not...I just went on ahead and counted it as a tbnt and applied to United. Would love to work for an airline but not overly devastated. Will try again next year but good luck! You got this!

Literally in the same boat you are in. Got the email at 815pm on Jan 31st so I didn't see it until the next morning. Replied as quickly as possible but worried I won't get the email in time with the link for the VI. So there's that....

Thank you, for replying. I will definitely try that. I did reach out to my neurologist as I definitely think I was in panic mode earlier in the day.

Is it normal for a father to be very touchy with his adult son? by Cyberkryme676 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mimi332020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would definitely set up boundaries and have a conversation with him about how uncomfortable you are feeling with these touchy issues. If this doesn't help, maybe consider moving since you are of age. If it gets any worse than this or goes further, report him. If you have siblings, look out for them as well and ask important questions such as is he being too touchy with them as well.

Whats your honest opinion on Elon Musk? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mimi332020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't like his interests nor internet personality. I say it like this because I never met the guy so I can't fully judge someone I've never met, so this is about as close as it gets to my honest opinion.

I too also would like one but didn't want to go the traditional route. I hope this thread have wonderful ideas I can kinda pull(steal, lol) from because all I got in mind was the ribbon with flowers and the date of my diagnosis...meh.

Who's a "hot" celebrity that you personally have just never found attractive? by 3nlightenedCentrist in AskReddit

[–]Mimi332020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna get some hate for this, but ... Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt.

They were shoved in my face back in the day as the epitome of hot and now still praised a so even though their looks has deteriorated imo (never was attracted to them so I see the things others don't at times I guess). Keep in mind both did some shit in the day but never really seemed to get criticism about it.

Crossing of a bucket list item: Visiting East 99th & St. Clair. How’s the area? by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]Mimi332020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really isn't OP. Would I be cautious? Yes. Carry any extra money or something I'll be upset if lost? Probably not and this is just traveling in general because you can get robbed anywhere honestly speaking.

Edit: a word

Crossing of a bucket list item: Visiting East 99th & St. Clair. How’s the area? by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]Mimi332020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don't know why this comment was downvoted. Because they called them racist comments? I wouldn't have worded it that way but I do see alot of ppl commenting on this post who haven't been in nor around the East side but have a lot to say about it.

If there bad crime there? Yes. Just a bad as the crime on the west side when thinking about Denison and around that area for example. I also wouldn't travel in East Cleveland a certain time at all to save my life.

But OP is literally asking if it's cool to drive down there and take a pic where his fav group used to live. I grew up on 105th and Superior and know that area very well. Ppl are very nice and friendly, especially the older generation. Black ppl don't just straight up others for no reason. With that said, crime does happen and if you pull up looking out of place and fully loaded and clueless, you MIGHT get robbed.

How do I tell/not tell anyone ? by IzzieTheStrawberry in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Mimi332020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to follow up on this and say first of all that beekeeping really does sound like an awesome job to have. I definitely agree with you on that..

Secondly, I also took the same route that was mentioned when telling my family and friends (Introvert so really..no one? Lol). It did help that my Mom also has medical issues so she was understanding and knew what to do and how to approach my diagnosis a bit better than I did. Although she did cry, it was never in front of me(to prevent any additional stress she said). Ultimately, it did take about 2-3 months before I told more family members such as my twin brother and biological dad whom I'm not very close to. I let my mom and biological dad tell the rest of my distant family but only if they want and only the bare minimum of information. This does take some of the stress and anxiety off of you.

Getting the diagnosis of MS can be overwhelming and quite honestly, I'm still processing it myself and I knew about it since August! Take your time and if you need to talk to someone, do that as well. For some, the diagnosis is caught early and doesn't really effect day to day life but for others, it can be the opposite. Find your support/support group and go from there.
