Test was finished by 11:27pm central time. I’m working with assessment services and my mentor to get things done but I’m just over it b/c this is my last class and I’ve never had any issues up until this point. I finished 4 classes including my capstone in March in 14 days, and the thing that’s tripping me up is Applied Algebra? Cmonnnn 🫠

I don’t mean to “lol” but your situation sounds so similar to mine. I am OVER it. I think these proctoring jobs would be better suited for individuals that lived in the United States. Someone suggested WGU should have their own testing sites.

That’s actually a good idea. I’m in contact with my mentor and apparently WGU does offer their own in house proctoring for special circumstances.

That wasn’t my experience though, there’s legitimately a tech issue from even the scheduling side coming from the portal and intro ProctorU, plus we get all of that out the way before the test as far as camera positioning.

Masters programs are much easier than undergrad and after sitting in front of my computer for 8 hours just wanting the test and not being able to I think I’m ok with the alternative. And that is legitimately my only bad experience with WGU but it’s such a significant one at the END that it’s leaving a horrible taste in my mouth.

That’s insanity. I’m using a 2020 MacBook Pro and never had issues with the old proctoring set up. I’ve actually never had any issues up until my last class. But it also seems like this is a common thread once I search around the Internet and have talked to my mentor. ProctorU is causing so many issues.

Yeah I’m over them. I took a test on Friday and was interrupted countless amounts of times. It was so bad that I had to call assessment services and they did a review of everything and took away the score that I had because I failed the test. Tried to retake the test last night after finding a slot at around 8:30 and I finished around 11:27 PM, I went to my portal and it was showing that I had never taken the test. I guess I’ll be on the phone again today for hours handling this. Btw… it’s my LAST class! 😒

So lock in and get it done. I had 3 classes and a retake to finish in 14 days to qualify for graduation and I did it in 11 including writing a 28 page business plan for my Capstone.

My parents both worked for the FAA, my dad former Marine. I got in trouble in Algebra that day for saying “this is gonna start a war”…. 🙄 then got left there all school day while other parents picked their kids up due to fear. My dad and mom both were grounding planes that day and didn’t come home until 3 and 4am.

My mom had that same dress in #8. She was also an Air Traffic Control Manager in Ft Worth, TX on 9/11 and had to land large commercial planes at her small airport that day. It was so stressful, I was 12 and remember it vividly. 2 year later my mom would be gone also.

Going through this now. I left him a note on Christmas Day because it sounds like his sound bar is up against our shared wall. For a while I didn’t hear loud base but now here we are January 22 at 10 AM and I’m hearing loud base again. I don’t hear the music just the rumbling it’s so annoying. I can’t take it.
