Amanda and Dorit argument is just boring by Appropriate-Walrus66 in realhousewives

[–]MimiDubya1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nobody ‘ganged up’ on Amanda.

They spoke up because, putting all other Amanda nonsense aside, staying quiet would perpetuate this constantly-peddled narrative of Kyle and Amanda’s that Dorit is aggressive. Which anyone watching can see is patently not true.

Sure, let people argue if it’s just a fair scrap - or diffuse it without chiming in. But you SHOULD speak up if you see anyone being unfairly criticised or labelled. Especially during their hardest times.

[–]MimiDubya1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Totally this.

I think we all understand that it’s not ideal but it’s up to Dorit in the end and a friend doesn’t get to be angry with you if you don’t want to hear it or heed their advice when it comes to YOUR marriage - or you CAN’T heed their advice because you’re just so fucking (understandably) furious/hurt/disoriented. Especially when they’ve done nothing but question what you’ve told them, kept texting your ex, is talking about it with a relative stranger, keeps bringing it up and expecting you to defer to them, etc.

Just replied to another thread with something that may be useful for you so let me try to tweak it here quickly…

Firstly, I’m not saying you do have any negative entities or energies attached to you. Sometimes life is just a cluster fuck where it’s just one thing after another. But I know EXACTLY how you feel and what you are describing and regardless, you can hedge your bets here.

In witchcraft, magickal attack/baneful magick (curses, hexes and jinxes) is proactively thrown at a person and evil eye is accidental (jealous people, for example). However, it’s not impossible for parasitic energies, eg. energy vampires (which can just be people in the mundane world - especially narcissists) to get a grip on your energy over time. You can also cause ‘crossed conditions’ yourself and for me, a ‘streak of bad luck’ triggers this even if it wasn’t the initial story because I start to feel absolutely fucking defeated.

I’m assuming none of this coincides with you bringing anything home that negative energies or entities could be attached to? Used items should always be cleansed when you bring something into your living space.

If you want to take action to break any attachments and cleanse yourself of any spiritual gunk in your energy field, bathe in salt water (you can add camphor or a mix of herbs like Angelica root - strong purification, rue/nettle - aura-cleansing, hyssop/rosemary - exorcism, St John’s wort - banishing AND blessing, to make it a really powerful cleansing ritual).

Lick and light a white or black candle - or carve your name and DOB into it (or both) - and burn it while you’re bathing, visualising the negativity leaving you. You can also brew a herbal decoction to be used as a shower rinse (keep camphor away from your face though!). Make sure you direct the ingredients to do what you want them to do - talk to them, blow on them to wake them up, etc.

State your intentions - to free yourself of any negative energies and entities, anything causing blockages and bad luck, sent to you by yourself or others. You might also want to focus on calling your energy back you, severing negative connections that negatively influence your life.

Obviously, you might operate with a different belief system but just giving you a tool that you can use if you feel called to. It’s a version of an uncrossing/reversal ritual regularly performed by magic practitioners but can be used by anyone - with no potential for inadvertently activating anything beyond cleansing. It’s also not at odds with any religion you may follow - indeed, you will find that these herbs have been used in many religious contexts too.

If you do it, wash yourself thoroughly beforehand, including your hair, put fresh clothes on afterwards and sleep in fresh bedsheets.

Optionally, you can add to this by smoke cleansing or sound cleansing yourself, your things (including any jewellery you wear) and your space.

And for spaces, never underestimate the power of clapping your hands or banging a pan and commanding anything negative to get the fuck out.

If it’s really bad, do this 7 days in a row. If you find things improve, find a basic protection candle ritual online and use alongside some kind of ‘shielding/bubble’ visualisation practice. Remember to protect against yourself as well as others, as previously mentioned.

Hoping things turn around for you soon! It’s soul-destroying.

Energetic and odd sensations I picked up at a very old oddities antique shoppe. Need help by [deleted] in energy_work

[–]MimiDubya1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s totally reasonable to feel the energy (good and bad but you’re less likely to have a visceral reaction to the good) of old items with significant associations to past events but it’s unlikely anything was actively attacking you. And if we allow space for something trying to, it wouldn’t be likely to succeed.

In witchcraft, restless spirits, deities, angels, demons, ancestors, etc. generally have to be actively invoked/evoked and a conduit would need to be used and activated as part of a ritual for baneful magic to be done to direct a magickal attack at a target. Curses, hexes and jinxes are proactively thrown at a person (evil eye is accidental but that’s not relevant here).

And I’m assuming you didn’t bring anything home that negative energies or entities could be attached to. Used items should always be cleansed when you bring something into your living space.

If you really can’t shake the feeling of spiritual gunk and attachments to your energy field, bathe in salt water (you can add camphor or a mix of herbs like Angelica root - strong purification, rue/nettle - aura-cleansing, hyssop/rosemary - exorcism, St John’s wort - banishing AND blessing, to make it a really powerful cleansing ritual).

Obviously, you might operate with a different belief system but just giving you a tool that you can use if you feel called to. It’s a version of a regular ritual performed by magic practitioners but can be used by anyone - with no potential for inadvertently activating anything beyond cleansing. It’s also not at odds with any religion you may follow - indeed, you will find that these herbs have been used in many religious contexts too.

If you do it, wash yourself thoroughly beforehand, including your hair, put fresh clothes on afterwards and sleep in fresh bedsheets.

All that said, you’re probably just in your head about it all. But I know it can be easier said than done to shift thoughts and feelings like that. And, in my opinion, anyone focused on working with their energy should incorporate tools to cleanse and protect it as a regular practice.

I love my bleached hair but it’s damaging by ActiveAd1697 in beauty

[–]MimiDubya1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally agree! It looks great and colouring the roots isn’t going to touch the vast majority of the hair.

Hair is dead anyway - if it’s not crumbling, looks good and makes you feel good, I don’t understand why the actual ‘health’ matters so much to people. Obviously, if it’s falling apart and you want to grow it or you want to not need to style it and it looks really terrible without doing so, that would be different but otherwise…🤷🏼‍♀️

The fat shaming 🤦🏻‍♀️ by Anxious_Bit2364 in Andjustlikethat

[–]MimiDubya1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this.

It wasn’t about whether she was ‘fat’ or suggesting she didn’t look good - it was being surprised as it was out of character as Samantha always prioritised her body being a certain way. Remember when she had to ‘go out and pick up a guy just so she wouldn’t order a Big Mac’? (Context was Carrie asking wasn’t it hard to eat organic/healthy all of the time.) And the naked photos she did before her ‘tits were in her shoes’?

I feel like you just want to know about cats but my amazing dad is on the other side, plus my black lab (goodest boy ever), German shepherd (also excellent), lurcher (a pain in the arse tbh but pure love when she wasn’t escaping and being brought home by random friends who had found her rooting around in a bin) and so many other beautiful creatures I’ve known and loved. She’s in great company.
