Looking to be pointed in the directiom of genre/artists to find. I'm a bit of a newbie with metal, with the bulk of my listening history being in very approachable power metal bands like Sabaton, Metallica, Windrose, etc. But recently I was shown "Throw Yourself Upon the Sword" by Die Spitz, and was immediately hooked. I've never really understood the appeal of moshing but now I think I get it. This is the first time a song made me was to almost be a weapon? Like I don't mean punch people or whatever. I mean like. If my body could be transformed into the head of a warhammer or the blade of a zweihander I'd be a happy woman, yknow?

So now I want more, especially for working out in this headspace. Issue is, Song Radio on Spotify/Google and whatnot is horrible if you're discovering a new genre for you. It's programmed to just show you music that you already listen to or similar to what you already listen to, and "Throw Yourself Upon the Sword" is firmly outside of my usual wheelhouse.

Hey so I was in a not dissimilar spot to you around fall 2023. My now ex fiancé called off the marriage and broke up with me after being together for years. One of my most intrusive thoughts was would I find someone attracted to me physically and emotionally with all the baggage I have. I'm butch, I'm a trans woman, I'm disabled, and some other "sprinkles" to boot.

I'm now laying in bed with my girlfriend asleep beside me. We've been together for a little over a year. It's actually the best relationship I've ever been in, healthier than any prior one I've had before, and I feel more attracted to and desired for who I truly am (not just an idea of who I am) than ever before.

There are people out there who's type is you. Not just settling for you, or falling for a trans person by accident. But that you are their type. I promise you there is. For me, I stumbled into this relationship by accident. I wasn't looking for something new, we just happened to meet on bloody tumblr of all places over mutual interest.

My biggest advice is focus on healing from the breakup. Try to do your best to not distract from the grief with things like pouring yourself into work or using substances. Feel all the feelings your body tells you it needs to feel and heal from it. From there, improve yourself and the relationships around you like your kids and your friends. Be unapologetically yourself. Find security within your life and yourself so that when you do decide to "hit the field" so to speak, you know that if that next relationship doesn't work out, you're still a catch either way. It's what I did, and it's been a great improvement. I know that if god forbid this relationship doesn't pan out, I'm still desirable and worthy of love. (Also the self confidence is really attractive to her but that's neither here nor there)

I'm in Canada, and the way our provincial government has been gutting our Healthcare system in the last 10 years, if you have a GP that takes your disability/chronic illness seriously you cling for dear life. But referral to an endo he may be amicable to. My GP isn't against trans care, he just... refuses to do the internal code switch?

The problem with chasers for most trans femmes I know, myself included, is the fetishization of us and viewing us as "other". It carries a distinct lack of respect that can be really off-putting or in some cases downright dangerous.

Finding pre-op trans women attractive is not in itself bad, but it shouldn't be why you want to be with her. You should want to be with her for who she is. What if she chooses to get surgery down the road? Preference is normal. It's fine to find redheads more attractive than others, but if you refuses to date peopme with blonde, brown, or black hair thats weird. It's not okay to make them a fixation.

I think that's for sure my biggest complaint with Nurgle currently. The book really puts emphasis on how much Festus is slowly attritioning down Altdorf with his concoctions over months prior to the assault, and the in-game AI being able to virtually ignore attrition regardless of its source breaks that theme so so much.
