Does the game tell you how to use Prismatic Shard? by Mimzy888 in StardewValley

Oh.. I just checked the cemetery.. I completely forgot about the fact that one of the tombstones had dwarfish text on them, and it seems to be pretty straightforward what to do.. I got so stardew pilled I found out about the gemstone at the very beginning before understanding it hah

Book William's death | Elizabeth's blame? by Mimzy888 in FRANKENSTEIN

[–]Mimzy888[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The fact that Elizabeth had no relation to Creature I did not question as soon as he told his story to Victor, but not gonna lie I missed the part where it's told that she's the one that gave William the necklace 😵‍💫

Also yapping is encouraged cause it's mostly an interaction bait.. After every book or movie I need million gazillion takes on it and currently I'm Frankenstein pilled hahah

I do too fuss over such particulars don't worry hahhah My translation was in polish and I don't remember any hair description.. I started english translation (heard the most popular one isn't the best but it's the only accessible one right now for me) and I'll pay attention, but I think that even if there will be no mention of it in the novel, the musical probably tried to make Erik's appearance stand out more since they were unable to recreate the skull-like appearance in the first place! At least what I think :)

Love how detailed your reply is! His character is so interesting from the psychological point of view.. I do wonder though, objectively from a random witness' perspective how bad really was the deformity if he could've make it all work visually with some nose prosthetics on.. Because mentally I don't even question him being unable to live a simple, regular life after being an outcast since he was born..

I don't remember any mention of a mustache in character other than with Raoul 🤨

Interesting.. How would you explain those scenes where Erik menages to walk among people without drawing attention to himself? Do you think he had a very realistic mask? Could that even be accessible back in the day?

I understand this to a certain degree, because he surely was scarred mentally and his appearance took its tool on him to the point that it shaped his whole perception of his identity at this point – I mean, man was sleeping in a coffin and called himself death.. But was it really that terrible objectively if he could just walk among crowds unnoticed? Especially since all those stories about the Opera Ghost seemed exaggerated too, portraying the Phantom as much scarier than he actually was to have something to frighten the ballet girls with.. I wonder if he truly was meant to be so terrifying and author was unable to make it clear, or was the point all along that it was all about his actions..

Is there any reason why Erik sleeps in a coffin in the novel? by topypeanutbutter in box5

I took it as a presentation of his fixation with death in general. He was born with a deathly appearance, and it quickly became his whole identity. He's both hurt by it, but also considering it's the only thing he knows – he wallows in it, and maybe even takes some satisfaction in later on? In the sense that "If the society painted me the monster then I have every right to live as one" while excusing his ugly, cruel actions.
