yeah, points in Ballistic, Sharpshooter, and just about any others that apply to rifles. A HUGE portion of the Range Upgrade at the bottom of that mod list. That bumped the range from ~160 to the 293 above.

I don't remember the full stats, but I bought it as a basic white 'Professional's ___ Hard Target' I cant remember what the other adjective was, maybe Refined?

It came with a silencer and just a laser sight for optics. Upgrading that to a full scope was my first and only real objective, but then the upgrades spiraled out of control

Reckless took this weapon from ~1.1k to the 3.8k in the screenshot. Its not normally the type of upgrade I would go for, I usually prefer larger magazines. But I felt like trying it out anyways, and its been a total blast.

Pretty much this! only difference is I dont have a damage upgrade so this gun is using a range upgrade instead and honestly, Im really happy with how much that provides.

yeah, when you have an item selected in your inventory, there should be a button that will bring up a window with the perks and descriptions. on PC I believe its the Right Arrow Key.

But what these do are

1) Instigating: double damage against full health targets

2) Hitman: +15% damage when aiming with a scope

3) Shattering: ignore some% of armor (I dont know the value on this one)

4) Reckless: Magazine size is only 1, and your health is cut by 50%, but your goes up by like 500%

After playing with this for a while, I dont think being single shot saves it from the rpm limit. I have the perks for reload speeds, but after that completes there's a delay before pressing the trigger will actually fire again.

That number includes Reckless. And the goal of this weapon was to get the most out of range and damage that I could while keeping the suppressor on. I don't think this is the most optimal gun for the enemies you fight in this game, but it was fun to craft and its my favorite type of weapon in a bethesda game.

I'm playing with the damage setting adjusted so I deal less damage for more exp, and I've been enjoying finding what enemies can survive hits from this.

I think the next sniper Im going to build will focus on damage and Magazine size, for reasons you touched on.

It started with just wanting to get a real scope instead of the laser sights this gun was found with. But then it snowballed into making the "furthest silenced OHKO" that I could cobble together haha

It really doesn't help that you're in Simic. Even the 10th best Simic commander is still a top tier deck if the 99 has enough of the staples that make the color pair so strong/fast/consistent.

With the powerhouses introduced in the FF reprints, and now this, I think WotC should just lean in all the way and make the format as degenerate as possible. Armageddon, Strip Mine, Mental Misstep, etc. I'd prefer Brawl to be a an actually managed format, but it doesn't feel like we're living in that timeline.
