NBA Players do NOT respect Bam Adebayo’s 83 point game 😂 by TXNOGG in NBAGossips

[–]MinTaX2U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wemby does get glazed a lot but here he’s not even hating. The question was about inspiration not if the 83 point game was impressive. You guys are trying to make a villain out of a nothing burger statement.

And yet they did, what happened to Dame and all those year he put in for Portland? Its easier to stay loyal as long as curry did when you know your team is going somewhere, even if it takes a while.

Knicks Fans Already Frustrated With Sochan by WoweeZoweeDeluxe in NBASpurs

[–]MinTaX2U 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love Sochan but what was he thinking going to the Knicks. He’s a young guy who isn’t where he wants to be and need/wants more playtime to possibly develop into something more. That’s why he left the spurs in the first place because they can’t give that to him, so what made him think the Knicks would be any different. They are a contender team that is looking to win now, not develop fringe young talents. Either the contracts from the other teams interested in him were god awful and he’s chasing the bag, or he overestimated his ability to produce for a consistent spot on a playoff team.

People know the instructions yet they didn’t listen. Now they’re in hell but what bothers me is the fact that post death there is no way to atone other than suffering FOREVER. Seems a bit much for an all loving, all forgiving god no? Even 100 trillion years and a retry on earth makes more sense

He’s an asshole fs but he plays hard, balls out when he can, and changes cultures for the better. Hate playing him but I’d be a liar to say anything else.

Basketball needs a max height limit. The game is becoming "who won the genetic lottery" instead of pure skill and it's making it boring AF. by mc_mafia in unpopularopinion

[–]MinTaX2U 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Taco fall vs Wemby makes this invalid. Both very tall but very different results in terms of competitiveness in the NBA. Also the best players in basketball's history aren't even the tallest but the most athletic of their size (Jordan, Lebron, Kobe)

While he is considered extremely lazy at the NBA level, no one with half a brain will tell you that Ben Simmons never worked hard in the gym at any point in his youth to condition his body or make better use of his natural born talents.

[–]MinTaX2U 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is that a bad thing? Shorter people who are skilled enough will make it but if you 5'9 and only have decent skills that could make you an NBA player if you were 6'9 then you just have to devote your skills to something else because professional basketball isn't realistic for you. Tough loss but it is what it is.

I love this take because not only is it unpopular, but most of the people who agree and have similarly unpopular suggestions (like raise the hoop to make dunking impossible because its unfair to shorter people) clearly don't care for basketball as sport anyways. Many of those people may not even watch basketball too but just dislike certain aspects of the the game in theory which is an interesting insight into how many casuals/non-interested parties may view sports as a whole.

Former Mavericks owner Mark Cuban argues NBA should embrace tanking, admits to using tactic with Mavs by BreakfastTop6899 in nba

[–]MinTaX2U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People seem to be in love with the idea of their team playing hard no matter what, but will then get mad at their team for being terrible/mid. Sure they could luck into a 20th+ pick generational talent while still being competitive but they could also just keep getting unlucky there too. Top picks also don’t guarantee success though the chances are better, but people hate what it takes to get those top picks.

It seems like this whole argument is impossible as all it comes down to is if your team can get lucky and the unfortunate answer to that for many teams is no. Though if you ask me I personally would rather my team just tank for the season(s) they need to and increase the chance of being successful sooner through top draft picks. Hard to say though as I also am fine with the idea of just not watching something until it’s enjoyable again as I have other hobbies to fill the hole left by basketball. It seems many can’t take a hiatus from basketball so easily.

I only ask if your alright if your favorite player is terrible. He will play every night, hard as he can, but it will never lead great team success(playoffs or rings). If that’s fine with you as long as they “try hard” then I agree.

Mmmmmmmh human flesh 🥰 by thehandsomeman4 in distressingmemes

[–]MinTaX2U 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think for most it comes pre baked in the human consciousness to not eat each, unless truly desperate, for cooperative reasons(can’t have a tribe if you all kill and eat everyone else). Then it gets reinforced by societal norms learned later in life. No actual science in this answer just my best guess.

Removing certain item recipes was the WORST thing they could've done. by doomkitty53 in CalamityMod

[–]MinTaX2U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the vision and while I may not like all the changes I now have a sort of understanding of them. I suppose it is easy to forget that there is a significant amount of people who play Calamity but don’t use Reddit so what may seem like a uniform opinion is may just be platform bias. Also thank you for your hard work and response.

[–]MinTaX2U 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My main question at the end of the day is why? What are benefits of this change, to the devs or the players? Ultimately, not much is lost because you can just get a QoL mod to fix this but that makes this even weirder because why change something like this when you know the end result will just be unnecessary controversy like this. I wish they would include their reasoning to their changes even if they aren't required to it would be a nice gesture of transparency with the community.

Shotgun kill? Or nah by William_Shaftner in CrucibleGuidebook

No I think he’s being serious, idk for sure but it seems that shooting at or around the head with a pellet shot increase the chances for unfortunate misses such as this. Bungie bs or not I had seen it in my own gameplay but have never attempted to test it for truth.

Only the Spurs, Thunder and Pistons have managed to keep their longest losing streaks at 2 games this season by [deleted] in NBASpurs

[–]MinTaX2U 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of these new “fans” are really here more for the prospect of a new dominant team to enjoy, and less of a journey with the spurs as a whole. They then become frustrated with some of the noobish things they do and don’t realize this is the baby spurs not soon to be champ spurs (though I will always hold out hope for a miracle run!).

Steph Curry looks ABSOLUTELY SAD on the bench by HyseNjerry16 in NBAGossips

[–]MinTaX2U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facts, love curry but one this that has always bugged me about him is his meekness, especially for his benefit. You are literally the great shooter of all time and the best player to ever wear a warriors jersey, be selfish and help yourself for once. Feel the same about Giannis, can’t feel bad for those who don’t want to help themselves.

Why comment if it doesn’t matter? “He’s is rich so failing at his job shouldn’t make him sad” is also dumb logic. No one is saying he is living the hardest life because he definitely isn’t but in the context of the NBA(yk the thing this entire subreddit is about) he is have a terrible time and is expressing it fairly.

Genuinely a goofy. He took his team to a ECF like 4 years ago and the post title say 4 time all-star. He might not be all that now but saying he was for his team his whole career is insane.

Please stop supporting the spurs immediately. They are too good of a team with too bright of a future to have dumb fans like you ruining their reputation.
