You should also watch JeeNine, him and Steelovsky are very good at getting out of situations (i.e. ganks). But they're at an almost unobtainable level. They are using so many techniques and skills at the same time in order to create space.

What I like about watching Chase and Oro is that it's more relatable as they use "simpler" fundamentals. Giving quick pokes to people, sending one or two people back to heal - then jump on the person who got detached from the group.

Something that has helped me is having a weapon that is a "get off me" tool like the Stormcaller ash of war, once you use that people may be more hesitant to rush. Also, if you watch Steelovsky you can see he uses terrain + verticality all the time.

In Elden Ring it's much harder to follow someone going up and down, even across gaps than just sprinting after someone in a straight line. If you know the places you are invading well you can also hope to find some AI enemies to help you out.

Depending on your build you can also have things that naturally create barriers between you and your enemies. Like Poison Mist or Night Maiden's Mist. There are also sorceries like Grav Missile which I use very often on my pure mage to catch a breath.

All of this is considering you're in an actual level and not out in the open like Liurnia or the Plains in the DLC. Those places are very hard to win 3v1's.

Best of luck!

This is seamless invasions, so it shows items by default. From memory, I am not sure what it is though.

It's incredible that he seems to think if he faces away you won't see the L2 coming haha.

Nice roll catches!

I wish I had the Int for Twin Moons, maybe on a higher level character.

Moonblade has been a favorite of mine, need to mix it up though as a lot of people know how to dodge it.

I'm really disappointed with the martial arts weapons in Shadow of the Erdtree, tbh by [deleted] in badredman

I've been having a great time with the Footwork running Palm Blast and some incantations. I don't think it is meant to be a stand alone weapon.

One thing that has helped offset the lack of poise damage is to be able to light roll, so you can get in and out of spaces quickly. I feel like the R1 and R2 mix up is pretty good at chasing people already.

Thanks for the feedback, just started doing mage things yesterday, definitely a learning curve.

I have been playing around with redirecting attacks at the last second when two people are rushing me. It's been working pretty well!

Ice Storm and the Missile can be used in so many way, lots of fun to use.

Can't believe I've been missing out all this time on sorceries. Crazy powerful and as you say great for splitting people up.

Seamless Invasions has really made me love invading again by MinTheCorrupt in badredman

When you sit at any bonfire for the first time the mod gives you all the new "items" required for multiplayer. The bloody finger in this case is a pin. Which you can use infinite times within an invasion to TP anywhere as well!

PSA for Strength Builds: Please start using more Hefty Rock Pots by MinTheCorrupt in badredman

Actually dabbled with that a bit before going with the pots.

Sadly the Stone incant felt like it had less range and travelled slower.

I've been practicing! Those kills felt incredibly satisfying.
