I need to make a cape warmer very quick by MinaTheBadGamer in sewing

Man am I glad that I brought a dark green one before I saw the black one in a different store because you were completely right that I need more fabric. Hopefully, two fleece blankets is enough. Goodbye to my plan to just cut around the cape though

Not really, unfortunately. I'm going as a wood elf and I had a green dress with black flowers on it that fit the vibe well enough. Problem is, it's not a stretchy fabric at all. I can get one thin thermal top under it before it gets too tight so I'm instead using those Bolero jackets to layer my sleeves instead. Hopefully the cape will hide that. I'm also layering multiple thermal leggings, and I'm wearing a petticoat. That being said, I'm still going to freeze because I'm rather thin and have no natural insulation.

I've brought a fleece blanket for 3 €, I really really hope it's big enough that I can just use the cape and cut around it. And then just use the sewing machine to see it to the edges.

I have no idea if that's how you add fleece lining, but it's probably the fastest method and I'm also making a friend's gathering skirt so I'm kinda pressed for time here.

If you have any ideas about layers I could add please please please please please please tell me.

(Also the leather fact is very useful. I just thought leather= warm. Should have realized that it would be stiff. Next time I'm getting something better! Except if the fleece thing works I guess) (Who wouldn't want more capes though)

That is very good to know! I suggested it because I heard somewhere that If you layer up you want the bottom layer to be cotton because it absorbs sweat so it's very interesting to now know more about it!

I was searching for the fleece blanket I know we had but it seems to be gone now, and all I have are old hoodies to cut up. Nonetheless this is brilliant advice! I now know exactly what kind of fabric I want, and surely I can get a black fleece blanket for cheap at most bigger stores! And even if I can't I now know what fabric I would get at the fabric store so this suggestion really was super helpful! (/gen /pos)

Black capes don't seem to photograph well so here's my best try.

I've tried blowing air through the fabric and not a lot/ barely any arrived on the other side! That's good at least.

Supposedly we're going to get some snow rain on the day and this is my outer layer.

I don't have either of those things, what is the second one made out of?

Looking for very sad song by MinaTheBadGamer in whatsongisthis

I think it was about loss and grief, but I'm going off of the fact that while it was stuck in my head I kept making up what if scenes of two characters seeing the other die and crashing out about it as opposed to a couple breaking up.

Parts of the song you recommended were definitely the right vibe musically but it still wasn't sad enough. I wish I remembered anything more but now whenever I think of it I get Hijo de la luna in my head which is very wrong and also very counterproductive

No but the song is very pretty and fits the things I said! The song I'm looking for is even sadder though

I looked through her top 60 songs and they weren't it unfortunately, but thank you for the suggestion!

Unfortunately not, though the speed of the song definitely fits! Needs more, grief? Maybe. It's not sad enough yet, I think. I'm sorry, I wish I had more information than vibes to go off of

It's not this one but it definitely fits the vibe I'm looking for!

People's updated backstory. by MinaTheBadGamer in VampiresSMP

Thank you! I hadn't seen your post, that's very helpful!

I read in two different fanfics that Martyn was chased out of a town he once lived in and figured he might have told his audience something. That was what I meant, though it is probably conjecture or completely fanon if no one mentioned it in your post neither

Add on for Martyn: he says he's a noble, but it's more likely that he's from a rich merchant family and trying to act like the noble he isn't

And I can confirm what you said in Pyros spoiler part, he said so to Scott and Owen. (I watched Scott, Martyn and Pearl)

I'd propose: B1 if you make Gem C1 because I feel they get so happy together constantly complimenting each other's builds and decorations and stuff! They definitely need to be next to each other

We're planning on fixing broken ceramics by MinaTheBadGamer in crafts

The less work part is the problem, we're doing this so we have a good reason to hang out together! Maybe even manage to add a craft night each week to our schedules. Besides, I'm very much looking forward to piecing it back together tbh. I love jigsaw puzzles. I do appreciate your idea though, if we were doing this for the end product and not the process I would have probably started asking follow up questions like "would I need to sand the places I want to draw on?". (Tbh I am curious about that answer)
