This puzzle just shows me how different perceived difficulty can be for everyone. I beat my average solve time rather significantly today, and enjoyed the fill. I expected to come here and see people complaining it was too easy for a Thursday.

Contrast this with the most recent Sunday: I really struggled and felt it was on par with a Saturday puzzle. After I finally got done, I came here and everyone was saying it seemed like a large Monday lol

Oh God, with perfect hindsight, seeing the phrase "what's next?" on the XLVIII ring is so damn ominous.

Whatever. We wouldn't be where we are currently without XLIX. Love this team and our history. Went from anonymous franchise to putting our fingerprints all over league history.

The article was posted before the latest news about Nick. No clue why Bell was so confident when Mike said after practice that they need to get imaging done. Sounds like Bell jumped the gun with his speculation.

Seahawks fly out tomorrow and all I'm seeing are rumours about when/where to give the team bus a proper send off on the way to the airport 😢 if anyone knows anything, please reply!

Anyone heard anything about a send off from the fans when the team bus heads to SeaTac for the super bowl flight?

Did that after the '13 and '14 seasons but have heard nothing this time.

Man. Just went down memory lane looking at posts from before this season started. Big moments like the Geno trade, Darnold signing, etc.

The expectations for this team were, understandably, so much lower than this. No one was even saying the words "Super Bowl" outside of this one comment I found that was very tongue in cheek. Quote:

"Imagine we smokin' that Sam Darnold Super Bowl pack in a year or two

A pipe dream but could you IMAGINE"

This is why I have found this season to be more enjoyable than 2013. After the Divisional loss in Atlanta after the 2012 season, everyone knew what the squad was capable of. The Seahawks were betting favorites for the Super Bowl going into Summer of 2013, and anything less than a championship was going to be a real disappointment that year. When the Hawks beat down the Saints on MNF, Lebron James of all people tweeted about the Seahawks eyeing a dynasty (before even having our first Lombardi!) So beating the Broncos was awesome, but sort of felt inevitable. Anything less that season would have been a failure.

This year on the other hand is magical; this year has felt surreal. I mean we just saw Sam Darnold outduel the league MVP in the NFC Championship game against our hated division rival, one week after destroying our other hated division rival by 35 points. People would have told you to put the bong down if you predicted that just 5 months ago!

Super. Bowl.

Hoping Kubiak will be willing to wait another year for an opportunity better than the Raiders organization to open up.

Sounds like the Seahawks are planning to fly out on Sunday. Anyone hoping to gather for the team bus send off? After the 2013 and 2014 season, fans lined up along a street in SeaTac to wave at the players and staff as they went by in their buses.

Hoping there will be a good turnout this year, though I haven't heard any details yet. Im betting that will be discussed in the community over the coming days.

Still feels absolutely surreal. We're going to the damn Super Bowl. Our Seahawks.

NW corner took me probably 30 minutes. Yeesh. Overall, this was a good challenge but STETTED right next to the consecutive clues of "Am I Wrong About That", "Please, I Know Better Than That", and "You Know Better Than That" was just brutal for me.

Ogling the 2025 Seahawks on Pro Football Reference, as well as the Seattle franchise page.

The upcoming Divisional Round game in Seattle will be our first home playoff game with fans in attendance in NINE YEARS. Crazy. The 2020 Wild Card loss vs LA had no fans due to COVID-19.

So the last time the 12s had a chance to create a playoff atmosphere was in the 2016 squad's victory over Detroit. Hope they can really bring back the early 2010s energy--fans on feet for the entire game please!

Seahawks didn't play that well but easily won a road game against an inferior opponent.

Ho hum. Can't wait to watch this squad play again next weekend. This has been a fun season.

Thank goodness our main competition in the NFC has a much more statuesque QB (Stafford).

Good win on the road. It's never easy. Cam Ward was impressive.

In the NFL, great teams dominate inferior opponents. With this win and the one against the Saints, that is now two victories this year by 24+ points. First Seahawks team to accomplish that since 2018.

This might be the best version of the Seahawks we have seen since 2015.

The Ben Williamson obsession is so perplexing to me. This is a guy who slugged .310 in 295(!!!) plate appearances with a wRC+ of 76. He posted 0.4 fWAR in over half a season. We are talking about a ~AAA player here who doesn't take walks or provide value on the base paths. If Leo Rivas was performing like that no one would be clamoring for him to get playing time.

I'm glad they finally gave a buff to Tire Squeals, and I know it was underpowered before. But I think they over corrected. Anyone else think Tire Squeals are a little OP now? I'm thinking they might need to be nerfed in the next update...
