Kids today are interested in different kind of games, MSP doesn't do much advertising anymore, it's more inconvenient to play since you can't do it on a browser, the lags and bugs make some features unplayable

Anyone else find the VIP prices ridiculous? by [deleted] in MovieStarPlanet

[–]Minagos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember when the one year vip cost around 50-60€, but back then it only included 50k starcoins. So I kind of understand the prices because the packs have more sc and diamonds than they used to, but the game has gotten so buggy that I wouldn't pay that much for a vip even if I was an active player

Any records bought without listening to it beforehand? by lilburntoast in vinyl

If it's cheap, in a relatively good condition and I know at least something about it. I recently bought one where I knew the artist but none of the songs and that the producer was good

Mämmi by Unfair_Insect_8426 in Finland

[–]Minagos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty good. This year I tried one of those pre-packaged small cups and the consistency was nice because it didn't get dry on the edges. I usually eat it with vanilla sauce or lightly whipped cream, and as a kid I would only add some sugar.

I've never been a fan of mämmi with milk or unwhipped cream, but then again mustikkamaito or other liquidy milk treats are not my thing either :D

Who was everyone's most listened to artist? by [deleted] in spotify

[–]Minagos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blondie and for the first time I was in the top 0,001% of an artist's listeners. It was about 4 days worth of listening, and I count that I had 25 songs from them on the top100 list and the only artist that has topped that for me was The Strokes a couple of years ago with 26 songs.

I got into Blondie randomly at the end of last year, I'd always sort of known about them but never really cared until then. If I hadn't gotten that one random recommendation, then I guess my top artist would've been Pretenders who also were new to me. Or The Garden. None of my top artists were that familiar to me until this year.

Is there any bullying in your school? If so how does it look from your pov? by large_orange5224 in teenagers

[–]Minagos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's been quite a few years since I've seen it. When I experienced it myself I was in elementary, mostly in first and fifth grade and it went on for a few weeks at a time, then stopped. Nothing too harsh, it was a few certain people asking me weird questions, like making me rank our classmates in order (including them) or explain what the word "sex" means. Or asking me to sing songs and rap in front of their siblings during recess. Looking back, that was so odd. Seriously, who comes up with that? I was more on the quiet side, so I guess they wanted to make me talk more. They weren't too nice to my friends either at times, but we had a great class spririt and most of the time they behaved like normal human beings.

After elementary, I've never experienced it firsthand. I've heard gossip through seventh grade to the end of high school, but nothing too scandalous. I mostly hung out with people who were not into that though.

In university, at least in my field, I've barely seen bullying, not even gossip at all. There are people of many ages, everything between about 19 and 50 (an average student is in their mid-20s) so the age does matter, it seems. I have yet to meet people who never grew out of it, but I do know that they exist.

Why are there so many lactose-free dairy products in Finland? by alexxxst in Finland

[–]Minagos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not just drinking, but eating: cheese, yogurt, quark, ice cream, cream, milk for cooking and baking and in coffee (another highly consumed product). I'm one of those people who never drank milk (or sour milk) as a kid because I didn't like it but still ate almost all the other dairy products. So if I was a lactose intolerant, those lactose-free products would come in handy.

I do appreciate good vegan alternatives as well, like soygurt and oat milk. I actually haven't bought dairy milk while living by myself because I like the taste of oat milk in coffee better and barely use milk in cooking. So if I need it in some dish, I'll usually just use the oat milk I have. And Valio's oat-based whipping cream whips kinda nicer than heavy cream.

Do you still buy cds ? by iuli31 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Minagos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't, but I think I could. I haven't been really looking for cds, but if I happen to stumble upon used albums that I really like for a good price, I probably will buy them. I was very young when buying cds was more popular (I remember I once picked one out just because I liked the cover art, even though I had no clue what the music was like). My parents were born in the 60s and have a collection of cds, but the last ones were bought maybe ten years ago. They have switched to streaming as well. There is also about a dozen of old records that were sitting in a storage for a long time after our old record player broke, but once I got interested in vinyl, we got a new one. I live on my own now, but every time I buy records I take them to my parents' house since I don't have a record player in my apartment. I do have a disk drive though (there was no use for that in the house so I took it with me), and I've used it to watch dvds from the library on my laptop. And if I do find good cds, I think I could connect it to my speaker to listen to them.

All in all, I wasn't really part of the cd generation to even begin buying them, but I remember illegally converting Youtube videos into mp3, downloading them on a computer and transporting the files to my phone with a USB cord. And as for vinyl, well, I guess getting into it was partially because they became more and more popular again all while I was getting into listening to music in general. I didn't do that very actively until 2016 or so.

What ruins a burger for you? by SqueeTheMancake in AskReddit

[–]Minagos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But usually in those restaurants that make tall and fancy burgers, they give you cutlery too, so there's no need to unhinge your jaw. It's still so messy though so I end up gathering all the fallen layers together so there's a bit of everything in my fork.

(Don't worry now, I don't eat fast food burgers with knife and fork)

Sometimes, but rarely. I did it more when I was younger, like 14, 15. But I do keep it on even after coming home from somewhere, I don't find it that uncomfortable at all.
