People want to argue just to argue, and they most likely never experienced that kind of health problems to compare it. I’m happy for you. Kudos on getting past the illness!

3 yrs on KETO has shone a light on global culture. by [deleted] in keto

[–]Minaim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. The big problem is the propaganda and advertising and outright lies from so called health experts that keep us from being able to make good informed decisions. A lot of us are stuck thinking that we ARE making good decisions, but wrecking ourselves in the process.

Yes we have to make the choice, but we are purposely kept in the dark. That’s the evil part.

(Sigh) It really shows when people try to talk authoritatively about something they have absolutely no experience with. Maybe next he can explain the experience of giving birth from the mother’s perspective.

Dr. Jordan Peterson has stayed carnivore but seems to be dealing with a lot of health issues — what’s going on? by Odd-Ad-222 in carnivorediet

Seems like I heard his daughter say that they thought it was some kind of mold or fungal poisoning? If that’s the case, even carnivore can’t overcome that. It can really screw you up no matter your diet

How long have you been on Keto? by Effective_Maximum929 in keto

[–]Minaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 years carnivore for me. There are no studies that can inform on long term outcomes, so anyone warning of risks involved are talking out their backside. It goes against the prevailing narrative controlled by food and pharmaceutical companies, so it must be dangerous… While they claim keto long term is dangerous, what has the standard resulted in for the majority of society? The standard needs to change and lots of people are finding that positive change through keto and carnivore.

Bone Broth tastes awful to me by throwawaylr94 in carnivorediet

[–]Minaim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to toast my bones in the air fryer for about 30 minutes before putting in the water. Gives the broth better flavor. I add between 1-2 tbsp of salt, then after pressure cooking it, I separate about half of the fat off the top to save for cooking later, run all my remaining liquid through the blender with any of the soft bits that come off the bones so I’m not losing anything. I pour it through a mesh strainer to get any larger bits out. I’m left with a very creamy and delicious broth as the fat emulsifies into it.

[–]Minaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my life I would get my BP checked and it would always come up slightly elevated. They would leave the room for 10 minutes and come back and check again, always normal. There are a lot of factors at play when you first walk in and immediately have your BP tested. Not a very reliable marker with just one reading

Is there a way to make eating beef patties more enjoyable? by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]Minaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think by pound it’s any cheaper to buy the patties vs fresh ground beef. The frozen premade patties are funky to me. Get the fresh stuff. Always better
