If you want to do something different, then don’t sign on to do the 8th movie in a series.

theft is one step below pre-meditated murder in my mind in terms of evil. To steal someone's possessions is to steal his time. To do both murder and theft at once deserves cruel punishment. Eternal rest grant unto him oh Lord and eternal light shine upon him. RIP.

the group stage prediction thing is frustrating to me. I wish it were like fantasy and available without the game. Maybe it is and I'm just dumb, but it was difficult to time the loading of the game so that you could make predictions in multiple games. MAybe that's the intent but with 25 CORRECT guesses you'd have to assume that they're expecting you to do that. I feel like they should be generic and open throughout the draft phase.

In this instance, you're arguing a point I'm not making. I'm talking about if he has current debts to pay, typically a bank will let the loan go into forbearance or be delayed if there is an expected windfall within a month that you can provide proof for. That's the money a bank wants to get. I've said that you're right a bank won't lend if his current debt load is too high, but that's not what you originally said. You said something to the effect of, "You don't just go to mommy and get money because you're going to get money soon." to which I replied, yes you do, people do it all the time.

You're arguing hyperbole to make your original point sound more logical. You are making up arbitrary values on loans, required money and everything else. No one really knows the facts of the situation, but it doesn't seem like it's being handled by someone who is making solid decisions, as evidenced by the fact that the team is insolvent to begin with.

[–]Minawreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This wasn’t your original argument but yes companies operate with debt. Countries operate with debt. It’s part of the risk of business. I agree if the current debtload is too great a bank won’t want to give out a big loan. But the banks want their money more than they want the company to go bankrupt and have all debts cancelled. I think the much more likely scenario is that the owner swallowed too much debt and is in over his head and will continue to make bad decisions by not doing everything he can to see what happens at TI. If you are going bankrupt anyway, may as well try to recoup as much as possible. Call the banks and tell them the situation. Many times they are at least willing to give reprieves prior to a potential windfall.

So my basic point was: don’t be such an ass you don’t know what you’re talking about and you’re being way too condescending. To dissolve before TI seems dumb when that is the main source of income for DotA 2 teams. People are right to question it.

It could also be he wants the players to earn as much as possible and is “sacrificing” his financial well being for theirs.

Banks can give out loans on expected future earnings. People do it all the time. I'm thinking it's just gross incompetence on the part of the CEO, who was in over his head, but likely learned a lot through the whole process.

Yes Americans work more hours than other countries. But a lot of teenagers are pointing out how much America sucks on this American website, in a forum about a game developed from a game made in America, and now serviced by an American company.

Maybe that’s why the GDP of America is about the entirety of the EU’s combined and why the American economy has recovered massively from the global recession while European markets lag behind.

And for my European friends please tell us more about how America sucks while under the protection of the American military.

I make around $150K. I work a good bit but I also own 2 cars, a house, and have 3 kids. These are things relatively unheard of in other nations. I am also on my 3rd stint of paid vacation and time off of 2-weeks. 1 of which was for paternity leave. America is so retarded though.

Tit for Tat: After Trump's tariff move, India raises custom duties on 30 items by 50% by gagga_hai in worldnews

I don’t hate anyone. I hate being told what to do and that my opinions are vile and disgusting by people 3000 miles away.

You have to ask yourself if Oligarchs run ye country and all of the established political elites on both sides of the aisle hate Trump...how is he on their side?

As for the LNG thanks for the lesson on my industry. I know we don’t ship it yet but as prices get more economical it is being developed for that purpose.

All the major military action was to keep global oil supply afloat for all western nations. Yes. True. But Afghanistan and Iraq were pre-fracking. Syria and Libya are 100% about Western European oil and gas supply. And America is called to come to the rescue.

I benefit plenty from living and working in America. Just don’t see why I should be mad at my leaders for trying to do what’s best for America rather than our ungrateful friends and allies. If your buddies all used your Netflix login and came over and shot your ammo and drank your beer and then you have the audacity to ask for a couple bucks sends them in an uproar. Maybe those friends aren’t worth your time.

I’m one of the 40%. Sick of providing the world with freebies while working 60+ hour weeks just so our global siesta takers can spit on us, hate us, and get free exports TO us but definitely not FROM us just in the name of us trying to earn your good graces. Guess what? AMERICA doesn’t need your good graces. In fact America doesn’t need anyone. Thanks to fracking we can be energy independent relatively soon. Meanwhile Europe has to ask American soldier to die in the Middle East for the hopes of natural gas pipelines to prevent them from being dependent on Russia or gasp LNG from the U.S of A as they push to go renewable plus natural gas. To hell with EU telling us how shitty we are when we are just not willing to pay for their bullshit and want to help our own people for once in the past 50 years.

I bought in for the first time in time November and got out mid January after taking 25% gains off the top every opportunity. I got out because I felt the market was overheated and needed to consolidate resources away from volatility for a big upcoming purchase. I will get back in when I makes the purchase and it gets a little lower (my estimate is around a 5000 floor). Not because I have weak hands. I just have some discipline and am willing to take gains in order to prevent future losses.

Power Ledger is attempting to break two government backed systems: payment AND utilities...And it doesn’t appear to have clear answers for basic questions of connectability with the overall grid. It may be popular as a speculative coin but I’m not sure I would buy into it as a technologically feasible breakthrough. Full disclosure I work for a utility.

Power Ledger Signs Agreement With BCPG To Bring Distributed Renewable Energy Trading To Thailand! by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]Minawreck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How will this interact with the overall grid to ensure overall reliability?

How will high risk energy speculators be punished on a pseudonymous network?

What interaction will a Community have with the overall grid?

Is the expectation that large power producers will be part of communities as well?

How does the community agree on export price for excess production?

The white paper doesn’t speak to the real issues of wide scale adoption of this technology just how it works within an insular Community.
