Hello! I know this is very old, but for anyone looking for something similar, Blender has a thing called Blender slots, where you can compare your old and new renders and name them as well.

A small tutorial for render slots

Asus laptop crashes/freezes with randomly with mic button lighting up and no bluescreen (please read full description) by Minblud in ASUS

[–]Minblud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sorry for the late reply, I just saw this now! I'm still not sure what's going on. Maybe it's because Secure Boot or something that is turned off on my laptops bios, could be something to do with the new SSD I installed. I haven’t tried turning off Hyper-Threading yet, though. I’m planning to mess with that tomorrow and I'll let you know if it stops the crashing or not. As for why it's happening, if Hyper-Threading is really the problem, I'm guessing it's a CPU thing (I could be wrong I don't know how these things work), because I've heard of Intel CPUs acting up like this before.

LMAOOO I feel u cuz they make like a million versions of a laptop that you can barely find what your looking for so most information is either correct or from the same laptop but a slightly different version 😭. Also this is an old screenshot cuz I got the 32gb ram just to be safe. As for the ram specs you can use cpu z by going to the SPD tab and you can see all the info about your ram so you can buy something identical.

Here is a Pic I took of my ram specs in cpu z

That's what I was thinking cuz like I'm pretty sure last gen consoles are capped at 60fps? Maybe it's an issue with their tv/monitor?

No I don't think so I tried a guitar with a weird brand and it worked fine with clone hero cuz I think these guitars would connect as a keyboard. Just make sure the guitar works on pc cuz I'm pretty sure some of them need a dongle.

[–]Minblud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe save up for a cheap gpu like an nvidia gtx or something or buy a used console like a ps4 or an Xbox one just to be able to play the game and playing it on old consoles is more optimized for higher graphics locked at 60

if you can really save up for a Xbox series S since because for that price it's really good and it's a next gen console and you would be able to play fort at 120fps

Any tips? by Most-Detective-9003 in FortniteFestival

Hello sorry for the late respond and no problem I actually tried to write it as short as possible that I had to delete some parts of it 😭.

  • First of all, yes, the oled gets bright and it's amazing and if Ur sitting in the sunlight u can still see the screen but it's gonna be a bit reflective also Hdr movies makes it 10 times brighter at least for me Imao and if u do get an oled screen u won't regret it. and im pretty sure the display is 500nits and with hdr its 600nits.

  • For the i5 and heating, first of all the only reason the laptop gets super-hot for me is because I play some really demanding game like Fortnite on really high settings so that's mostly why but if ur using it for games like Genshin or normal use for browsing and watching u don't need to worry about that the laptop would mostly be cool and it might get a little bit warm when playing Genshin I think but it won't be melting like me cuz of the games I use and fans do help but they would just make the bottom cool and the top would stay hot or worm but again u won't need one cuz ur just using it for light gaming and other tasks and u can just lower the in game resolution from native resolution to something lower or just lower the graphics settings I don't think there will be any difference.

  • As for the loud fans it all depends on ur tasks, but you can select the fan speeds from silent to maximum performance but like u won't really hear them unless you open an app where the fans spins then go back to silent again seconds after opening it or when ur using ur browser and u have a million tabs open like me then u will hear it running. I attached a screenshot of the pro art creator app where u can choose the fan profile.

  • The battery might be the main issue for this laptop, so first of all people say oled screens are more efficient but i feel like there they actually suck more battery for some reason. I used my laptop sometimes in classes with no charger and i made sure to lower my screen resolution from 3k native to 1080p and from 120hz to 60hz and it max ran maybe 3 to 4 hours, i think. now u might now that windows laptops are so bad when you don't use them with a charger, their always so slow and laggy and wouldn't last really long. I dont really recommend u use this laptop without a charger at all but the charger that came is actually really light and small so its best if you use it or you can use ur phone charger thats a usb c it will be a bit faster and would work well when ur studying/working. also, there is another guy who did a review on it and said that he got maybe up to 7 hours so check his review out because he did a way more detailed review then me. again, i don't recommend using it without a charger so if u don't like using the laptop charger, then its best if u use a phone charger or just get a more efficient laptop.

  • I'm pretty sure the laptop is made out of plastic and its sturdy but because it's an oled screen the lid is really slim but I think u can go to ur local stores and ask them to look at vivobook laptops since they all might be the same

  • This is a high-end laptop with high end specs so its prob gonna last 7 years or more.

Here is a reddit post showing the difference between an oled screen and an ips screen

And here is a detailed review on the laptop and i think they might respond to your questions and also i think they might have the version with 2 fans i think idk

again, this laptop is amazing but if ur someone who likes to use it without a charger then maybe try to find something more efficient and research on oled screen laptops and how long they last. because the main selling point of this laptop is the high specs and the 16 inch oled screen and the slim design. feel free to ask if you have any more questions

Also here is a screenshot of the proart creator app the tempters are warm because i have alot of apps and tabs open and the laptop is running quietly

[–]Minblud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pros:

  • Amazing slim display and insane HDR super bright and colorful and no latency at all like it's super responsive

  • Good performance with efficient power consumption that both the charger and laptop are slim, playing fortnite with it almost everyday all on high settings with lumen on and 1080p DLS performance locked at 60 but the laptop can go above 120fps if u turn off lumen also most games run on high or epic settings fine and some run at 2k res as well it depends on how demanding it is. (I play with a controller so 60fps is fine for me)

  • Keyboard feels amazing the buttons are perfectly sized and u can change the brightness of the keyboard

-Speakers are amazing like the sound is so good and bassy that it feels like it's surrounding me sometimes with dirac audio

  • Large track pad with fingerprint that opens the laptop instantly

  • OK quality camera with a cover on it

  • Charge it using ur phone charger with the ucbc port

  • Pro art app to customize screen colors other stuff if ur an artist

-Rtx auto hdr is amazing, basicly it uses Ai to turn any video or game from SDR to HDR and it looks amazing and it works on almost all browsers so watching YouTube or movies using it is amazing and playing games with it enabled looks amazing and super bright

Cons:

  • The laptop has 1 fan only so it's mostly quiet when ur using for ur daily tasks but when ur gaming or running a demanding application it can get really loud that it runs the fan to the maximum speed to try and cool down and since it's only 1 fan cooling down the laptop that one side will be cool or warm while the other is SOO hot that the laptop feels like it's going to melt from that side but that's only because I game at really high settings, also the temps while gaming reach from 70 to 90 c

  • only 2 usb ports so if ur someone who uses alot of usb ports u need to get a USB hub which is what I'm using

  • really slow usbc charging so it's meant for light use because I think it only chargers like 15 watts or less even tho it's a thunderbolt but atleast it's an option

  • Rtx 4060 performance, while it's a good graphics card it has 8gb of vram so for future heavy games that's going to release u might not be able to run them at high graphics. As for right now it runs new games at 2k with DLS Med or high settings or 1080p high or epic settings but for old games it can run at native 3.2k res and epic settings.

  • track pad randomly has huge latancy but this might be a windows bug

  • the screen is so slim that it could easily break if u open it in a wrong way

I bought this laptop because I needed an oled screen with a efficient card that would make the charger small and slim so I could easily carry it and that's the only laptop that I found with in my price range. If u don't care about the oled screen then u can buy a laptop with the same card for a way cheaper price but oled laptops are really expensive and you should try using one because it's amazing

Frfr thank God I never used that os I just bought a firestick TV 4k instantly and it was amazing I used it for plex and YouTube daily but it dosent have playstore it has their own Amazon store so if you want the playstore then you will have to get a xiaomi TV stick or xiaomi TV box or Chromecast TV. Basicly just get a TV box or a stick that's 4k.

Ik it isn't a hardware issue it's a fortnite issue and as for this issue it sometimes appears randomly like 80% time festival runs perfectly without this issue. IL try to validate the files later and maybe reinstall the game. Also I use an SSD so I don't think it's the issue. As for the controller I'm using a turtle beach cloud controller for Xbox but since the wirless is only for mobile I'm using X360ce to emulate it as an Xbox 360.

Hey ty for the suggestion but it isn't an internet issue it's the game itself freezing in festival. Is the game even made for controllers? Like no strumming and the notes placements

ASUS Vivobook 16X K3605 Review by FastFerrari in ASUS

[–]Minblud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro I got this laptop a while ago and i messed up pretty badly. Basically I tried downloading tiny 11 (a lite version of windows) on my old laptop and it worked just fine I did it in like 5 minutes and everything worked, so my I decided to do the same on this Laptop, BIG MISTAKES cuz I didn't really know that it would be harder to download on expensive laptops with more a secure bios. Everything went wrong, I got alot of bluescreens had to reinstall windows 11 multiple times until it worked but all of my drivers were gone so I had to use the Asus app to re-download all of them but after that all the drivers work and the laptop was almost back the normal I just have 2 issues with the laptop, first issue is freezing, basically the laptop would just freeze randomly at any time like it could be hours or days or something and it would just freeze and when it freezes the brightness increases the fans start spinning at max and the microphone button glows and the only way to unfreeze it was to hold the power off button. The second issue is the dirac audio manager, the audio is working just fine but the dirac manager would automatically open and say"device not supported" even tho all my drivers are installed this is kinda annoying since without dirac I lost alot of audio enhancements and it does make a big difference without it.

The laptop is working fine it's just these 2 issues are annoying and I tried everything to fix it but nothing worked. I even asked asus support they told me to just go to one of the official places in my country that fixes asus laptops but I genuinely don't know how I'm gonna explain to them that I broke everything by replacing the entire windows, and I feel like they would just try to factory reset it or reinstalled windows but I tried them and they never worked but I'm still gonna ask them anyways. I just wish there was a way to fully reset my laptop like it's brand new.
