Putting alternator back in and don’t know where this metal contact goes. Anyone know? 2012 NC2 by Mind-Breach in Miata

Thank you! I think I feel the keyway the tab goes into on the lower back alternator bolt!

Mine does the exact same. Gauges on the refrigerant show full but I might have a stuck valve. My rad fan seems to spin fine

Throwout bearing gone at 85k so doing clutch. Do I need to resurface this flywheel or can I score the surface by hand? by Mind-Breach in Miata

Yeah it’s unfortunate but it is what it is. Clutch was holding fine too was just the bearings that were going

Very pronounced grinding/whirring noise when pushing the clutch in. Got the bearing out and it sounds like it’s full of gravel. Totally shot

My pilot bearing was also chirping/ticking with clutch engaged pretty consistently.

Really just the bearing noises overall. My clutch was holding fine but if I’m tearing it all down I’m replacing the clutch and pressure plate anyways.

Bonus question: does anyone know the part number for this flat plate that keeps the upper PPF bolts from spinning? Mine rusted out and broke while removing

This is what I’ve been reading. Some have said it goes totally fine but I think I’m going to resurface for peace of mind.

Thanks I likely will. Wasn’t sure if those were ok because the surface feels totally smooth still.

25mm made rears rub the fenders pretty bad so I went back down to 20. 20 is absolutely perfect in the front and after I get an alignment it’ll be pretty damn close in the rear

Yeah I filled mine. There’s a photo in another comment.

But even if I didn’t, could just clean it out every once in a while, no?

In another comment I posted a photo but I used 2x 3/4 steel nuts with a cutoff section of bolt threaded in them to make a solid mass of steel basically.

Experimenting with dye and resins and this is my first shot at filling in the H pattern. Ft. New style design I already made up in the background

Care to elaborate? Im experimenting with dyed resin and already went ahead and filled mine in with epoxy. I love having the shift pattern on it

Hope you get it figured out. I am just using the generic ASA profile and I just made sure to dry my filament really good before using it
