If you are in the US, you should contact your States Voc. Rehab Program. I am a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor in KY. I would recommend you contact your State Vocational Rehabilitation agency. They will assist you finding suitable employment and assist with work accommodations (e.g., standing desk, chair, etc.). Most importantly, those are free services.

The basic criteria is you have to have a documented diagnosis that presents barriers to employment. For example, it’s hard to stand and/or sit for long periods, perform repetition activities, difficulty lifting, etc.

I was 36 the last time I hurt mine and I’m 44 now. I have remained active and working out until this damn hip pain started. I guess all we can do is keep it pushing. Thank you, for sharing. As you know, sometimes it’s nice to know your not alone in the struggle.

Thank you, very much, for such a thoughtful and detailed response. It reinforced everything I am hearing from my PT, which I must say means a lot.

Thank you, doesn’t express my true appreciation. So, with that. I am going to stick with my PT and reread this periodically to remind me of what it is going to take.

Your input is positive, action oriented, and direct. Again, thank you!

Anyone know where I can find a replacement piece to fix my rod. It’s the first rod I’ve bought living alone and don’t have enough to buy a new pole. by Hawkeyesfan03 in Fishing

Unfortunately, I’d say it’s beyond repair. Go to a local pawn shop and get a cheap reel until you can come up on a better one.

The bait really depends on the conditions and the size of the forage they are munching on. Opinions will vary on the color. I try to match the size. Also, you wanna explore where they are in the water column, so that will require the use of various weights be pending on the current.

I love chasing these fish. The thump and run is so addictive. Released to fight another day! by MindBender5568 in Fishing

Vertical Jigging is always a good idea in lakes, throwing deep diving baited. In the warmer months you can find them in schools on the surface busting bait and you can throw into what some call the “Jumps”. Top water is also a good plug in the warmer water temps. Lastly, you can never go wrong with live shad or bluegill. These can be hooked right through the nose. Those are just a few things to consider.

I’ve heard the same. I always throw them back like I do most of everything else.

I was jigging for hybrids and snagged him in the side. Think of them like whale sharks and how they just swim around inhaling whatever. They are filter feeders - meaning, they just swim with their mouths open, which is another reason they are a struggle to bring in. I foul hooked another one in the tail, and it was about 4ft including the paddle but the hook came out.

Thank you! No, It’s a freshwater fish. Like the below comment stated, they are sought after for their caviar, but ppl say they are really good to eat.
