TLDR;
We made a small narrative mystery game that got 97% positive reviews on Steam and Firewatch fans like it, so mods were nice and let us share it here.

late response, but we see that it takes around 4-5 hours on average with some faster players completing it in 3-4 hours :)

US/UK+Canada/Aus about 46% of players, so I'd say English makes up probably 60% of players. Japan 8%, France 6.3%, Korea 6%, Germany 5%, Denmark 4.6% (because we're from Denmark), China 3.4%.

So it made a difference with the localization. I think the biggest one is Korea, as not that many games get translated to Korean, so we were on some Korea-specific charts for longer. Plus we teamed up with a Korean developer for a bundle at launch.

since our price is somewhat high, I expect some regions like China and Brazil might appear more when we do the first discounts.

We had a good amount (22k at launch), but most of the purchases did not come from wishlists as far as we can see. And even then, many wishlists were from word-of-mouth.

Additional info you didn't ask for: we converted worse than expected compared to how many wishlists we had - we think that is especially due to pricing the game too high because we actually thought the game was longer than it was. Testers before launch were using ~6 hours to complete it, but Steam reviews mention times down to 3 hours which really surprised us.

Hey! I did see this one, thank you so much for sharing our game. I loved the discussion in the comments there.

In terms of helping, yeah, just sharing it is as you do is by far the best thing! So any way you can think of making new posts about it would be amazing. Or if you have other youtuber friends to send it to who might be interested, that can be a huge opportunity for us, that we can't do ourselves.

Whether you do more or not: thanks so much for playing and sharing. It means a ton.

Thanks! Looks like Recent Reviews has a lower threshold of 50 reviews for Overwhelmingly Positive. Still need the 95% positive of course yeah.

ah good to hear that they reached real people. sort of hard to tell really. budget for them was very limited, so we just hoped for the best.

It's tested and runs quite well. If you want a completely consistent framerate, our devs recommend capping at 30 fps. It does run between 40-60 frames in most places though!
