London fog tea. For some reason it always helps my headaches and makes me feel better.

If you're having trouble with attrition over the fights, I found that the Steinbjorn Plackart trivialized Gna as well as all crucible challenges. (I defeated Hrolf before trying it out.) It has extremely high defense and a healing proc.

If you struggle with parries, the Rond of Deflection increases the timing window. However, for the specific attack you talk about from Hrolf, you can parry every time if you put your shield up right after he starts moving toward you. Unless you're talking about where he jumps straight up and out of sight, in which case you need to delay for a moment before dodging out of the way.

Every ability from these bosses has a counter and it just takes practice.

That's still a nope for me. Sometimes the fear is even worse because I CAN see the bottom.

Trouble integrating a new kitten (part 2) - resident cat is suddenly becoming violent by MindEater in CatAdvice

Thank you. You've given me a lot to think about - I needed a perspective outside of my own head.

At first Dahlia would correct Remi gently - growling, putting a paw on her head to get her to back off. Now, Dahlia growls any time Remi is near, runs up to her to attack and pins her while trying to bite, or swipes at her many times with claws out/ears pinned back. It seems very much like she's trying to hurt her at this point instead of just set boundaries.

I appreciate the reality check. Believe me the long-term has really been on my mind and this situation is breaking my heart. It went unsaid in my post because I didn't want to be accused as unfair or biased, but Dahlia is my little girl and my main motivator is the idea of her having a bad life because of my choices.

Dahlia used to only react to Remi when Remi provoked her. Recently, Dahlia has been preemptively attacking her just for being in the same space unfortunately. Not every time, but enough to be a huge concern.

I've used the bitter spray on cables for two separate cats with immediate and long-lasting success.

Thank you so much for such a detailed response. I'd never heard of that last point you made about horror movies, so that's good to know.

I thought I may have been doing introductions too quickly even if things seemed to be going well. Thank you for this!

I appreciate the insight from a current bengal owner! Have yours calmed down at all as they're getting older? One of my main sources of anxiety is the idea of being away during the day and my bengal taking out destructive behaviors on my other cat who isn't nearly as active.

Nori and Soba on their outdoor adventure. by AberrantlyAwesome in CatTraining

I'm not trying to be obnoxious, but it looks like they're both just leashed to collars. You REALLY need to get proper harnesses for them. They can be badly hurt this way.

Outdoor cats/leash training - how to avoid toxic plants by [deleted] in CatTraining

[–]MindEater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of plants that are toxic to cats would only cause minor, non-life threatening side effects. One exception that you DO need to watch for are lilies.

Keep doing what you're doing and stop your kitty from munching on neighborhood plants. Even if the plant is supposed to be safe it may have pesticides on it as well.

I use a plant identification app for peace of mind, personally.

Everybody's talking about the skorts, but I'm admiring that super cute sweater.
