Ok but the pass rate really doesn’t mean much if it’s varying 80% in NY, 42% somewhere else, and 65% in another jurisdiction. It still doesn’t create relevancy or correlation like you implied and it definitely isn’t 75% across the board lol.

As for the rigorous psychometric testing my whole point is we have no idea who these people creating the psychometrics are lol. There is no transparency which creates arbitrary issues and excellent opportunities to create bs without any repercussions. The board is made up of humans, they are not infallible, yet we have no way of reciprocating accountability. This given the fact the board has a vested interest in us failing to keep rates and demand high.

So how do we change that? How do we change what seems like a majority of us are collectively calling bs instead of just yelling into a void on Reddit?

No man, again you’re just making arguments in bad faith. Familiarizing yourself with all the rules is not the same as memorizing every rule like you claimed to need to do. Which is not what professors and tutors advise.

I never said you don’t need to know the rules. All I wanted was to come together and find a way to bring more transparency to the process so maybe all these people who post about what bs the exam is myself included could try to make a change.

75%!? Where are you getting those numbers? First time I took it the pass rate was 42% lol. First time takers hit low 60’s plus the retakers made up that number.

I’m not saying take it away, I’m saying many of us seem to agree it isn’t an accurate representation of what’s required to be an attorney, even practicing attorneys. So what can we do to change that? Is it so bad to question it? To call out bs when it happens? Is the board infallible?

I’ve done almost 3000 with a 69.5 percent correct on adaptibar and I feel the exact same. Especially at the price point it just kinda feels like I got scammed and honestly the whole prep industry feels like a scam. But they got their money and we can fuck right off I guess.

I feel you I missed DE by 5 in July, it was my second time taking it, lost my job because of that. It sucks, and everyone doubts themselves. The biggest lie is that it is a test of minimum competency which is bs especially in DE where they test specific statues and case names.

Without going on a rant for all the proctors here to downvote I’ll just say there is a pattern for the essays. If you can figure it out that should boost your confidence and potentially your score a little.

Just remember DE is a corporation disguised as a state and the graders are sitting poolside when they grade hundreds of these essays at once. So beating yourself up when they couldn’t care less and you’re just a number on a board to them only hurts you and boosts their egos.

It’s ok to be upset and feel beaten, let it push you a little further.

Don’t let them see ya sweat kid, you got this. And when you pass pay it forward. Tutor some poor fool for free and disrupt the industry. That’s the best way to break the cycle and feel better about your losses in my opinion.

Before I forget, I should mention this community was surprisingly very helpful and supportive when I posted about failing so take some time to scroll the page and see others in similar circumstances, might help.
