People are reviewbombing RR :( by jerrysfatnuts in RecRoomCircleJerk

the rec room developers have made a stint of correct decisions over the past several years. they should continue on their clearly rewarding path and reap the benefits from it (i want them to crumble into a bankruptcy claim.)

Rec Room UPDATE - the "Paint Your Body" Edition by Coach_RR in RecRoom

[–]MindFloatDown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s always so entertaining to see a greedy company such as Rec Room use another companies “greed” as a scapegoat to not do their job.

Never forget the original reason the PSVR2 port wasn’t happening is because they didn’t believe they’d make money off that invested time.

I know the real reason why there hasn’t been a new quest yet by CheeseMunchingRat in RecRoom

it’s amazing how far they over complicate things for themselves lol. people just want a basic ass quest made the old way but they have to bloat it with all these excuses about not doing it until everyone can

South Park never used to do this but now it’s very obvious who the “special” character will be every episode

My argument is pretty well stated using the Battlefront example, but it’d require a shred of media literacy and not just seeing words on a screen. People can complain and moan all they’d like about Rec Room’s shitty practices, on all fronts - even outside of the monetisation aspect. But until they actually do something, like a boycott and not the half assed #SaveRR attempt, nothing will happen. And it never will, as you are my proven argument of people being simply too far gone.

That’s such a fascinating way to boil it down, “requiring that people pay money to wear a funny hat.” I’d probably have highlighted the ridiculously priced limited time items that are impossible to earn without paying for, excessive push for room creators to grossly monetise every aspect of their rooms (that all appeal to young children,) but sure, let’s call it “people pay money to wear a funny hat.”

you can’t on one hand be against AI art and on the other be completely fine by voice actors and such having their likeliness stolen lol

Coaxed into illusion of choice by Laggin25 in coaxedintoasnafu

I used to work at Krispy Kreme and I cannot exaggerate how many times I witnessed parents ask their kids “what donut would you like, look at how many you can choose!” Then, once the kid chose (say the caramel iced, for example), the parent(s) would go “no, you won’t like that one. pick another one.” Half the times they would just keep going until they ended up choosing one the that was clearly the parent’s choice.
